My Bipolar (this is the real one)

Prologue

Carrying a sack of rice, Michaels sweat is dripping all over his tan skin. He is going to deliver the rice to Apple one of the supermarket shop owners that they’re supplying.

“Hi paps!” Apple greeted him sexily. Michael just put down the sack and reached out his hand to Apple asking for the payment. “Hmp, don’t be so cold. Let’s talk first.” Apple said softly.

Michael just shook his head and smiled a bit because of awkwardness. “Just give me the payment.” Apple just rolled his eyes on him and handed him the payment. “better, until next time” Michael bid his goodbye.

He goes out of Apple’s shop and headed back to their pick-up truck.

The truth is Apple is his childhood friend. Their friendship just broke apart when Apple confessed to him that he had a feelings for him more than just a friend. That’s when Michael found out that Apple is gay.  He distanced himself from Apple. He is not against gays , it’s just he’s shock with that sudden confession that he didn’t know how he will react so he just distance himself rather than to hurt him. To be honest, Michael is a bisexual but no one doesn’t know about it beside himself.

When Michael arrived on his house, he immediately notice the problematic face of his parents.

“What’s the problem, mother?” he asked as he kissed his mother cheek.

“It looks like we won’t have a good harvest again this year because of the pest” his father sigh.

“The deadline of our debt on Mr. Tan is also soon” his mother almost cry. They have a big debt on Mr. Tan because of the pests last year. They lost a big amount of money and they loan on Mr. Tan so they will have money to buy crops hoping that they will have a good harvest this year but unfortunately they are facing the same problem.

“I thought we earn enough to pay for Mr. Tan?” He asked.

“yes but…how about your college?” that made him froze. He doesn’t want to stop another year. It feels like he’s wasting time.

I need to find a way to continue my study. Michael thought.

The next day is just the normal day for him and his family. He woke up early to help his father on the farm.

“son, come here and take a rest!” His mother shouted at them.

“yes mother!” he replied. “father, let’s rest.” He then said to his father who just nodded back at him.

He and his father washed their hand first and get inside the hut. Michael stared at their farm. If only there is no pests, he should have been in school right now and studying. If he didn’t stopped a year , he would be in second year college.

He averted his gaze when his father tap his shoulder. He can see the apologetic face of his parents. Of course, if there’s someone that will be more sad right now in this situation, it’s his parents.

“I’m sorry, my son” his mom said.

Michael smiled at her “It’s alright, mother”

Suddenly, Michael notice her sister Mia running towards them at full speed. He frowned thinking what had happen for her sister to run like this.

“Why are you in hurry?” he immediately asked when she arrived.

“A-Auntie Aning just arrived!”

They stared at each other for a moment. His aunt doesn’t really go home often on their province especially this time of the year because she have a job at mansion in some place in the city.

When they got home, they immediately greet his aunt. His parents and Aunt Aning talk about a lot of things. When his aunt mentioned about an offer for Michael to work on the mansion as hardener. The employer is offering a scholarship for him and a monthly salary. It’s one hell of a deal.

“What do you think Michael?” his aunt asked.

All of their attention goes on him waiting for his answer. Michael let out a deep sigh. “yes auntie, I’ll accept it.” This is the opportunity he has been waiting for her. He didn’t expect it to be this soon but he is thankful.

Later that night. Michael is laying on their hut staring at the night sky. There’s a lot of star. He can feel the fresh air breeze and the sound of insects. He’ll definitely miss this. Well his aunt told him that he can only go home to his province in a limited day only like Christmas, New year or in some important days.

“Michael , my son?” He gets up when he heard his mother.

“yes mother?”

His mom goes inside the hut and sat beside him.

“Are you ready for tomorrow?”

He slightly nodded. “I’m going to miss you all.”

“we are going to miss you too, but don’t stress yourself too much there huh? We are always here for you.” His mom said as she kissed his forehead.

“Yes mother and I promise to you that I’ll do my best to study and became a successful person.”

FINALLY  after so many hours of travel they finally arrived at the city. Michael roam around his eyes as he goes out the bus. He can see a lot of tall buildings and many vehicles causing different noises. Well he is not that clueless on how it looks like in the city so he is already expecting this kind of environment whis the complete opposite of his province.

“let’s just wait for our ride.” His aunt stated, he just nodded while still gazing around.

AFTER few minutes of waiting their ride to the mansion finally arrive. It took an hour for them to arrive at the mansion due to the traffic.

Michael is totally mesmerized on the mansion that he’ll be working on. It’s extravagant and really looks elegant. It’s his first time to saw an actual mansion. He knew that he’s employer will be rich but he didn’t expect them to be ‘this’ rich.

His aunt guided him inside the mansion towards the room he will be staying in. He saw a double deck bed and two cabinets. His aunt told him that he will be sharing this with Vicente, the driver.

“fix your things, I’ll come back here when Ma’am and Sir arrived.” His aunt stated.

“yes auntie.” He answered. His aunt just nodded and leave him so he started fixing his things.

After two hours Michael heard a knock. He stood up and opened the door. He didn’t expect to see a maid that is looking like someone in his age. He thought that it will be his auntie.

“f-follow me” the maid stuttered and started walking. She’s obviously shy at him. Michael leave the room and followed the maid.

“ahm hi? I’m Michael, the new gardener.” He introduced his self.

The maid stopped and looked at him, still looking uncomfortable but she managed to smile a bit. “I’m Mira.”

Michael smiled and they continue walking until they arrived at the living room. There he saw woman wearing an elegant dress and a man wearing a suit. They look so expensive.

“take a seat Michael” the woman said. Michael just quietly seat in front of them. He is intimidated by their presence. “I’m Christine and this is my husband Hanz.” She introduce themselves . “as you know, you will be working here as our new gardener. Aning recommended you to us so I’m sure that we can trust you. I know you are responsible and she also said that you have a dream that you want to pursue so I accepted you and in return of your service we will give you a scholarship for you to continue your study and we will also give you monthly salary.”

“Thank you, ma’am and sir. I won’t waste this opportunity you gave on me.”

“also, I want to ask you some favor if you don’t mind.”

“what is it ma’am?” he asked.

“I want you to be close on our second son, he’s the same age with you. He doesn’t want to socialize with others especially with girls you two might get along.”

“I will do my best ma’am”

“but, do not fall in love with my son.” Hanz who is quiet earlier finally spoke. Michael slightly frowned.

“of course he won’t, he’s a straight guy. Right Michael?” Christine countered.

Michael nervously swallowed and nodded. He lied.

“mom”

All of their attention  turned in the direction where someone just spoke. There he saw a guy standing on the stairs, with a really pale skin and freakingly handsome.

On that moment when their eyes met , Michael immediately realized that if this guy is the second son that they are talking about then he’s in really big trouble.
