Fu Yichen lowered his gaze, noticing how Su Mi's delicate face rested against his chest. Her long, dark eyelashes fluttered like butterfly wings, her eyes shimmering with a soft, watery gleam, clear and innocent.
Seeing her so obedient made him unwilling to hear her request.
It made him feel that the only reason she could stay so quietly in his arms was because she had some ulterior motive—this was all a little too much!
Without warning, he reached up and tilted her chin, then leaned down, his lips crashing onto hers in a forceful kiss that wiped away all the tension in the air.
Up front, Song Zhe and Song Ze, who had been observing through the rearview mirror, simultaneously swallowed hard. They both stared straight ahead, visibly uncomfortable.
Oh no, the boss is at it again!
This was making their eyes burn. After this, they’d need to find someone to let off some steam!
“Mmm…”
After a long while, Fu Yichen finally pulled away from Su Mi. She was left dazed, her breath coming in shallow gasps, her face a soft blush.
Fu Yichen watched her, oddly content. For the first time, he found the rain quite pleasant.
He ran his fingers through her hair, teasing, “How is your little mouth so sweet, hmm?”
His movements were playful, and his eyes gleamed with mischievous amusement. Su Mi, still dazed, bit her lips lightly and said, “I don’t like candy…”
It was almost as if she was worried he wouldn’t believe her, as she quickly added, “I really don’t like sweets, how could my mouth be sweet?”
Fu Yichen paused, then laughed softly at her innocent, clueless reaction. For a moment, he felt inexplicably amused, his mood lifted as he found her pure, unknowing demeanor surprisingly charming.
Up front, Song Zhe and Song Ze exchanged a bewildered glance. They couldn’t believe their eyes—Fu Yichen, the usually cold and ruthless man, was actually smiling so much in front of Su Mi.
Fu Yichen leaned closer to Su Mi’s ear, his voice low and teasing, “Silly girl, women have a natural scent. Yours is sweet, didn’t you know?”
For some reason, he felt that her scent was familiar, something he liked, but he couldn’t place where he’d smelled it before.
He emphasized the word “scent,” making it sound almost suggestive. Su Mi’s face turned an even deeper shade of red, the awkwardness swelling within her.
Scent—only those closest to you could truly know it. The way Fu Yichen spoke made her feel strangely entranced by the idea, and for a moment, she didn’t know how to respond.
Thankfully, Song Zhe spoke up from the front, breaking the tension. “Mr. Fu, we’ve arrived at the Imperial Hotel. There’s half an hour before your business meeting. Would you like to go to the presidential suite to freshen up?”
“Mm.” Fu Yichen gave a short reply, releasing Su Mi from his embrace.
The Silver Phantom came to a smooth stop in front of an imposing hotel. A doorman respectfully opened the car door, and Fu Yichen stepped out, walking with an air of noble grace.
Su Mi hurriedly gathered up the clothes scattered on the floor and followed him out of the car.
“Mr. Fu is here!”
The Imperial Hotel, part of the vast Fu Group’s international empire, was one of the most luxurious hotels in the capital. Its opulent design, with its golden, radiant interior, catered to the city’s most influential people, offering extravagant amenities beyond what anyone could imagine.
The hotel boasted a bowling alley, badminton courts, a golf course, a fitness and spa center, and a meticulously designed cinema that screened the latest blockbuster films.
It was a sensory paradise of the highest luxury. As soon as the Silver Phantom stopped, a golden, glittering star-studded path led directly into the hotel’s grand lobby.
On either side of the path, the hotel staff and greeting hostesses stood in neat rows, all bowing respectfully as Fu Yichen passed by. “Good afternoon, Mr. Fu!” they greeted in unison.
