It's Best Not to Be Involved Again

689 Words
They say Fu Yichen is a business genius, renowned for his ruthless methods and decisive actions. Anyone who goes up against him inevitably faces dire consequences. He rarely shows any emotion in public, and in the business world, he has earned the nickname "The Cold-Faced Demon Lord." A man like that is far too enigmatic. Su Mi hoped that after asking for his help this time, they would never cross paths again, that there would be no more involvement. They were from entirely different worlds. Looking at it this way, if he was interested in her body, she could give it to him in exchange for saving Zhou Qingyang’s life. That way, they would owe each other nothing, and there would be no future entanglements. It would be for the best. Su Mi reassured herself, trying to calm her thoughts. Slowly, her anxiety began to subside. “Miss Su, feel free to make yourself at home. I’ll go and arrange things,” Song Zhe said to her before turning and leaving the room. Now, only Su Mi remained in the suite, with Fu Yichen in the bathroom. Taking a deep breath, Su Mi placed the clothes she was holding aside and looked around the room. The Imperial Hotel lived up to its name, and the presidential suite was understatedly luxurious. The space felt endless, and at the center of the room was an enormous European-style bed, at least four or five meters wide. It was striking, yet in a way, it felt almost too intimate. She had come here today with the intent to offer herself to Fu Yichen, and now, looking at the massive bed, Su Mi’s face turned pale. She slapped her own cheek, trying to snap herself out of these spiraling thoughts. “Clothes!” Suddenly, Fu Yichen’s deep, commanding voice came from the bathroom. Su Mi paused, then realized he had entered the bathroom without taking any clothes with him. He must have been calling for someone to bring him new clothes, but there was no one else in the room except her. Quickly, she walked to the bathroom door and called out, “Mr. Fu, your assistant just left.” There was a brief silence, and then his voice came again, “There’s clothing in the wardrobe. Bring me a pair of underwear.” “Oh... okay!” Su Mi instinctively responded, then turned to head toward the wardrobe. Her footsteps, however, came to a sudden halt. Wait a minute—did he just ask her to get what? Underwear? Men’s underwear... wasn’t that— Su Mi rubbed her face, trying to suppress the thoughts that were quickly flooding her mind. She opened the wardrobe. Sure enough, the presidential suite was stocked with an impressive collection of men’s clothing—high-end, custom-made pieces, all of which appeared to be the same size. This suite was clearly not for guests; it was reserved exclusively for Fu Yichen. She opened the lower drawer and found rows of neatly folded men’s underwear. There were all sorts of fabrics, styles, and patterns—at least a hundred pairs. Su Mi couldn’t help but feel that today was somehow fated to revolve around men’s underwear. As she thought about the fact that all of these were Fu Yichen’s, she couldn’t help wondering whether he had worn them before. The thought made her uncomfortable, so she quickly turned her head away, closed her eyes, and grabbed a pair at random. “Mr. Fu, I’ve brought the underwear,” she called out, standing at the edge of the bathroom door. “Bring it in.” Bring it in? Su Mi wiped the sweat from her forehead, then pushed the bathroom door open. However, she couldn’t bring herself to step inside. Instead, she extended her arm, holding the underwear out. “Could you take it? My feet are dirty, and I don’t want to dirty the bathroom.” “Your excuse is not very convincing.” Fu Yichen’s voice came from inside, tinged with amusement. However, he didn’t force her. Footsteps approached, and someone reached out to take the underwear from her.
