Stay With Me

"Mr. Fu, this is a life we're talking about! In this world, there are countless people, but only you and his bone marrow match perfectly. Isn't that fate? Can’t you show some compassion and help him? He's only twenty-four, so young, and he..." Su Mi spoke with urgency, her voice clear, desperately trying to get all her prepared words out in one go without even pausing for breath. Fu Yichen watched the naive woman, still pleading for someone else’s life despite being caught between life and death herself. His gaze shifted slightly, and then he spoke abruptly, "Alright. If you spend one night with me, I’ll consider it. How about that?" Su Mi's voice froze, and she stared at Fu Yichen, her face shifting between red and white. The man’s lips curled into a malicious smile as he leisurely looked down at her from his elevated position, completely unbothered. Su Mi bit her lip, her expression cold, a chill running through her heart. Before coming here, she had held onto some hope, thinking she could persuade Fu Yichen, but clearly, he wasn’t a man of compassion. She had no right to criticize him. He had the right to refuse a bone marrow donation. Even though Fu Yichen’s request was despicable, there was no denying that, if she wanted something, she would have to offer something in return. Life wasn’t about waiting for miracles; you couldn't expect things to fall into your lap. But... did she really have to trade her body for his agreement? The memory of that nightmare five years ago flashed through her mind, and her face paled. She felt humiliated and, for a moment, considered angrily berating this cold-blooded man before leaving without a second glance. But when she thought of Zhou Qingyang lying in the hospital, Su Mi couldn't afford to act out of impulse. She was frozen in place, unable to move. "Heh..." Seeing Su Mi’s face twisted with rejection, her body radiating resistance, Fu Yichen couldn’t help but laugh. Women who wanted to get into his bed were a dime a dozen in T City. But this woman in front of him—looking as if the world had ended for her—was the funniest thing he'd seen all year. "Not willing? Then get out. I don’t have the patience to waste any more time with you." Fu Yichen's cold laugh echoed in the dim light. The shadows cast by the bedside lamp highlighted the sinister charm of his face. "Fine!" Su Mi's voice came out hoarsely, as if she'd made a decision. She stood up resolutely, and without hesitation, reached behind to unzip the back of her dress. Her first time had already been taken in such a brutal way, like a dog’s bite. If another bite now could save Zhou Qingyang’s life, then it would all be worth it. Moreover, anyone else would probably think she was the one getting an advantage by sleeping with Fu Yichen. Fu Yichen’s handsome face showed a clear look of surprise. He hadn’t expected Su Mi to agree, especially given how strong her earlier resistance had been. But for a bone marrow donation, she had agreed. What kind of feeling could make a woman, even when her own life was in danger, still care about someone else? What kind of feeling could make a woman willing to give up her body, sacrificing her dignity and pride? So foolish... yet somehow it struck a chord with him. Fu Yichen's heart trembled slightly, but then, without warning, his anger flared. His face darkened like a demon, and he grabbed at his wet hair, cursing under his breath, "Damn it!" This refined, elegant man didn’t seem like the type to curse. Su Mi froze, her hand still holding the zipper, unsure whether to proceed.
