Chapter 6
It's early in the morning and were all packing, still happy from our vacation on Chincoteague Island. My wife and daughter are ready to head home to Virginia Beach. I am too, to find out the answers . Some of what my wife told and me and the business card that was handed to Amelia.
I thank the hotel manager on what a great stay.
We walk to the Jeep slowly wanting to leave and stay at the same time. We're driving back and I put on the song Message in the Bottle by Sting as it could have a meaning for me now. We all sing the song, even my daughter real loud as we head back to Hampton Roads.
Meanwhile, in Fort Riley, Kansas, Second Lieutenant Harold Johnson receives a call. He picks up the phone and there on the other end is Colonel Mathews, “Hello 2LT. How are you doing?"
