Emily’s POV
I woke up trembling just when I wanted to hear the girl tell me she could see me. Gasping out loudly, I saw Alfred before me, holding me by my side. I felt a sharp pain shoot through my heart and a sudden longing for my supposed mate.
Whimpering, I felt my body aching and turned to find him. He wouldn’t be so far from my room or me. Turning my head in tears as Alfred tried consoling me, I saw someone leave the entrance but I only saw the shadow of them.
“Mommy..” that's what I said, crying in pain. I saw drips in my veins through my hands and the room smelled stuffy and full of medicine. I was probably always locked up there with the doctor only coming to see me.
