Avery’s POV.
It was raining thunder tonight. The sound of the rain on top of the roof was too loud. I was cuddling myself inside the duvet and tried blocking my ears from all the noise coming from my parents' room. My father got my mother angry and she went off on him, shouting and screaming at him. I held the pillows to my ears and tried blocking the noise, but I couldn’t. They found their way into my ears and trickled my emotions.
“Ooh damn it!” I scoffed, standing across my bed to watch the rain fall across my window blinds.
