Emily’s POV I thought I was going to be sick. After my encounter with that horrible beast, “He wasn't so bad” my wolf countered. What did she mean? Did she listen to anything he said in that horrible excuse of a dinner? I saw it in his green, he meant every word he had said, he wasn't bluffing and it was a miracle that I didn't die of a heart attack or from trembling too much in his presence. His face was set in stone, he was expressionless, but his body language screamed anger. I could see his muscles tensing, clenching, ready to lash out at someone who dared disobey him. I swallowed down the lump in my throat and turned my gaze away from my window. What had I gotten myself into? What had Father gotten me into? Of all men, why had the goddess decided to choose him for me? Why?
