Diana POV I tried to be strong in front of him but it made no sense, I was still shivering from the trauma of facing a lycan. Looking up at him, his golden eyes met my orange ones. He stayed motionless in his seat while I struggled with my breathing. From his eyes, I looked down at his lips and his ever-handsome carved features. Facing Henry, he glared at me I could see how upset he was about the incident. Still, that couldn't move Victoria as she happily gulped wine from her glass. That was when I remembered I would be killed for summoning the lycan king. Murmurs rose from the gathering as some fumed. "That is the Luna," "She is the daughter of Alpha Raymond of the Silvertail pack," "how could she ever be involved in this mess?" "Is this a miracle?" One said to the other. "Whether it is or not, she is going to die. We have seen that many times. It is not going to end with her." The other replied. "Her family hates her and the pack, she could die for all I care." Some of the most respected warriors of the pack and the Imperial pack were there as the murmurs arose from the gathering as it is from a repelled flame. I smiled even amid all the murmurings even though it had hurt. Suddenly, the rumors died down when Alpha Marcus beta, Luka stepped forward. "So, you had summoned the lycan king…" he stared strongly at me, his face was as ever that I had shaken a little bit inside of me. "Yes," I answered. "Then You know what to expect?" He asked as I nodded positively. "You are going to be sacrificed to the moon Goddess!" He said as the gathering trembled with words. I looked at Henry as Ivy had longed for him but the mate bond was rotten away that I would not hope for it to be healed ever again. He gnashed his teeth and spoke some words to his beta, Tyson who immediately came up to Luka. "Is there a problem warrior?" Luka asked Tyson. Tyson signed heavily as he faced Luka saying, "This particular wolf is the supposed Luna of this pack. She is the wife of Alpha Henry." I immediately gasped as I looked up at him, "what was he doing?" I thought. "I was never going to come back to this terrible marriage but still another part of me still wanted my mate." Veronica breathed heavily as Tyson talked, she looked up at Henry and urged him while Henry gave her deaf eyes as she looked on angrily. I could feel her boiling, she would never allow this. "I am sure she must have not been the one to summon the Alpha Marcus, this must have been a fatal mistake. We must find the one that had summoned him." Tyson continued. "You have no right In this matter warrior!" Luka spat, his voice deep and commanding. "As far as I know, Alpha Marcus," he pointed at Marcus as he sat there still fixing his eyes on me dangerously. "was only informed of the true Luna, Veronica is indeed the Luna of the Mystic Valley pack." "I am sure that is all we need to know and then our business here is concluded," he said. "You can't do that…!" Tyson said as he tried to charge at him and immediately stopped as he was signaled by Henry. Tyson, always being a very fierce warrior and loyal to Alpha Henry quickly in a rage if Henry's orders were not obeyed but this time was different. He was in front of the lycans. Luka's eyes widened as his red eyeballs stood still inside glaring at Tyson as he obeyed Henry. He looked up at Tyson and backed to Henry as he chuckled evilly. Walking up to him he shrugged proudly. "Forget about the rules… I am sure you know what we can do." These words from Luka had sounded like a real threat still, Alpha Marcus sat on his seat observing. It was strange. He sat reserved as he watched silently. Some had said that it was the source of his strength and some had said he does not like being around many people. Closely facing Tyson, Luka pointed his finger at his chest. "Don't you ever try to charge at me again else I would have you killed." His voice was soft and so commanding and terrifying. Everyone could tell that he could even pin him down at the moment. Tyson Pressed his lips against each other as he looked back as Henry gave him the orders to move aside. He mumbled angrily and moved away from beta Luka. At this point, he locked eyeballs with him as Luka showed him a mocking smirk. Henry rose and having addressed his people, faced Alpha Marcus while Luka had stood between them. "Indeed, I was not aware that the Alpha Marcus had come for this purpose and it is true that there was a howling in the woods," Henry said as he looked up at Marcus. But it happened that Marcus was not listening to any of the things he was saying as he noticed that he had been staring at me all this while. I could see jealousy overpouring from him as wine from a filled glass cup. Staring with envy he continued, "It could have been a lone wolf coming to cause disputes but I tell you here today, that she is my Luna, and of course… I have two Lunas." Murmurs arose from the crowd again and it subsided as he continued. "She belonged to this pack and nowhere else," he concluded Victoria squeezed her face hearing him, she was disappointed at him as she immediately left the gathering even amid the lycan king. Henry glared at her as she walked out, smiled softly, and turned his head back to me, a scornful smirk appeared on his face. "I assure you, Alpha Marcus, that I put my Luna in her place." At once, Alpha Marcus stood up from his seat slowly… His warriors at this gesture, also stood and everyone from the Imperial pack stood in his presence while Luka and all his fearful warriors bowed Slightly as he rose. His presence was daring, Everywhere became silent as he moved towards me ignoring Henry.
