BEGINNING OF A NEW LIFE

Several minutes later... The private jet touched down smoothly on the runway. As the aircraft gradually slowed to a stop, Lydia let out a quiet breath and looked out through the oval window. "So..." "We're here." Aira smiled as she unfastened her seat belt. "Yes, Ma'am." Lydia stretched lazily before standing. "I still think this trip was completely unnecessary." Evelyn, who was already waiting by the cabin door, looked over her shoulder. "You've been saying that since we left home." "Because it's true." Her mother simply rolled her eyes. "You'll thank me later." "I seriously doubt that." A few minutes later, the cabin door opened. Warm sunlight poured inside as the staircase was lowered. Lydia adjusted her sunglasses before stepping onto the stairs. The fresh breeze greeted her immediately. For some reason... The moment her feet touched the ground... She felt strangely relaxed. Almost as though the weight she'd been carrying for days had finally disappeared. Aira noticed the small smile on her face. "You look happier, Ma'am." Lydia shrugged. "I don't know why." "I just feel... lighter." "Maybe this trip won't be so bad after all." "Don't get ahead of yourself," Lydia replied with a playful smile. "I'm still being forced into it." Evelyn overheard them and laughed. "You complain too much." "I learned from the best." "I beg your pardon?" Lydia grinned. "You heard me, Mum." Evelyn shook her head with a smile. "I've raised a menace." "And yet you still love me." "Unfortunately." The three women laughed softly as they walked toward the private terminal. Just then, Evelyn's phone rang. "Harrison." She answered immediately. "Where are you?" "I'm outside the terminal now, Ma'am." "I'll be there in a moment." She ended the call and turned to Lydia. "Harrison is waiting." A few moments later, they stepped outside. A long black Rolls-Royce Phantom was already parked by the curb. The rear door opened, and Harrison quickly stepped out. "Welcome, Ma'am." He gave a respectful bow before taking their luggage. "It's good to see you again, Harrison," Evelyn said warmly. "The pleasure is mine, Ma'am." He loaded the suitcases into the trunk before opening the rear door for Lydia and Evelyn. "Please." Lydia slid into the luxurious back seat, followed by Evelyn, while Aira sat beside them. Within moments... The Rolls-Royce pulled away from the airport. As the city rushed past outside the windows, Harrison steered the car toward their destination. The Logan Mansion. ***** Iris seized her hand and shoved her onto the table, leaving her face pressed against it. He slowly lifted the edge of her skirt and met her eyes. "Are you sure about this?" he asked quietly. She looked at him without hesitation and nodded. "Yes," she replied softly. "I am.” He brought out his d**k and stroked it with his hand before he slide into her. He moved as fast as he could, and she let out a loud moan. Then he covered her mouth and squeezed her buttock firmly with his hand. This time, he went even faster, and the pressure against the table made her moan even louder and more continuously. He let out a loud groan. Her eyes rolled back as she moaned, and they both reached orgasm. Iris released her then pulled up his trouser. His expression remained cold. Without another word, he walked behind his desk and picked up his phone. His fingers moved swiftly across the screen. A second later... The young woman felt her phone vibrate inside her handbag. She quickly took it out. Her eyes widened. Bank Credit Alert. She stared at the amount in disbelief. "...Ten million dollars?" She looked up at Iris, completely stunned. "Ten... ten million dollars, sir?" Iris slipped his phone back into his pocket. "Yes." His voice was calm and emotionless. "Consider it compensation." She could hardly believe what she was seeing. "But... why?" "Because I don't ever want to see you in my office again." The smile on her face disappeared instantly. "I... I understand, sir." "Good." He pointed toward the door. "Pick up your belongings." "And leave." She quickly wore her clothes and picked up her handbag before bowing slightly. "Thank you, Mr. Logan." Without another word, she hurried out of the office. The moment the door closed, Ethan walked back in. He looked toward the closed door before turning to Iris. "So..." "I take it the interview is over." "It is." Ethan chuckled. "I told you to take it easy on her." "I did." Ethan laughed. "I don't think she'll ever forget today." Before Iris could reply, Ethan suddenly looked at his wristwatch. His expression changed. "Boss..." Iris looked up. "What?" "Aren't we supposed to be picking Miss Lydia and Mrs. Evelyn up from the airport?" Silence. Iris froze. His eyes widened slightly. "...Oh no." He rubbed his forehead. "I completely forgot." Without another second to waste, he snatched his car keys from the desk. "Ethan." "Yes, Boss?" "Get the car ready." "We're leaving immediately." Ethan nodded and rushed toward the door. A few seconds later... The two men were already hurrying out of the executive office. Every employee they passed immediately stopped what they were doing and bowed respectfully. "Good afternoon, Boss." "Good afternoon, Mr. Logan." "Good afternoon, Sir." Iris acknowledged them with nothing more than a slight nod as he strode toward the executive elevator without slowing down. His long, purposeful strides made it obvious that he was in a hurry. Ethan struggled to keep up. "I haven't seen you move this fast in months, Boss." Iris didn't answer. The elevator doors opened. Both men stepped inside. Within seconds, they reached the lobby. Outside the headquarters, a sleek obsidian-black Mercedes-Maybach was already waiting. The chauffeur hurried forward and opened the rear door. "Good afternoon, Sir." Iris slid into the back seat without hesitation. Ethan followed immediately after him. "Drive," Iris ordered. "Yes, Sir." The chauffeur pulled away from the building just as Iris's phone began to ring. He glanced at the screen and sighed. "Oh, God..." "Mom is calling." Ethan smiled to himself. "You'd better answer." Iris accepted the call and held the phone to his ear. "Hello, Mum." Before he could say anything else, Sophia's voice came through the speaker. "Iris Logan! Where on earth are you?" "I'm on my way." "You'd better be." Then, before Iris could explain himself, another voice drifted through the phone. It was soft... Gentle... Calm. "Mrs. Logan, please don't worry. We're already in the car. We'll be there soon." The unfamiliar voice lasted only a few seconds. But for some reason... Iris's heart skipped a beat. He frowned slightly. "Who was that?" Sophia laughed softly. "That was Lydia." The name lingered in his mind. So... That was her voice. Before he could ask another question, Sophia spoke again. "Harrison has already picked them up from the airport." "They're on their way to the mansion." "You'd better get there before they do." The line went silent. Iris slowly lowered the phone and stared out of the window. For reasons he couldn't explain... He suddenly found himself wondering what kind of woman could have such a gentle voice. Beside him, Ethan noticed the thoughtful look on his boss's face. "What is it, Boss?" Iris smiled faintly. "Nothing." "Just drive faster." Neither of them realized...
