Nym

CHAPTER II

During their practice, Nym observes that Rye is somewhat nice and has a good sense of humour, he is always smiling, very approachable and nice to everyone.  Though she also observed that a lot of girls were so touchy and sweet on him. She promised to herself that once their dance performance ends she will distance herself to this guy. 

Nym cannot admit to herself but it is easy to get comfortable with Rye. She is a gentleman and always supports her. She will not question why he is the apple of the eye of most students. 

After their performance, Rye and Nym became close and for the first time she has a one guy friend. She doesn't feel any hesitation to Rye, her old impression has changed. He is really a nice man and sometimes during their practice they have talked about their childhood life and the hardship and struggle of his parents is almost the same with her parents. They can relate with each other, she even discovered that Rye is very simple and has a difficult life situation. His parents have huge debts. Nym then told to herself, really don't judge a book by its cover.

She remembers one of her conversations with Rye.

Rye: “I don’t know where to find money to pay for our Accounting book, my mother has no extra money.”

Nym: “If only I can help you, but I don't have extra money to lend you

Rye: “It’s okay, may be I can ask Ms. Cruz if I can pay it at the end of the month”

Nym: “Yeah, you can ask her, I actually heard she offered that option to other students:

Rye: “Life is so hard”, while laughing.

Nym: “It’s part of our life” smile.

Rye: “Thank you Nym, lucky is the guy that you will be marrying in the future, you understand the hardship and you know how to understand the situation and you are very positive and mature, you are not like those women who prioritises on how to be pretty. Luxury and material things are more important to them. You know how to stand on yourself”

Nym: “Stop! I will treat you snack”

And they laughed so hard togerther.

As time goes by, during their final term in second year college, Rye wants to court Nym. Her feelings have developed and he really likes Nym. Rye admits to himself that even before they got a chance to be partners in dance performance, he was already attracted to Nym.

Rye is afraid that if He tells Nym she will be distant again. He even gives hints to Nym that He likes her, but Nym will immediately change the topic. 

Rye decided to tell Nym about her feelings one afternoon. Nym immediately says that she needs to go home early and she cannot meet him for their snack at the school canteen. Rye had a feeling that Nym is avoiding him. 

At night, Rye cannot sleep. He really wanted Nym to talk about his feelings, but she always avoided him whenever he brought up the topic.

Rye cannot contain himself and send a text message to Nym, as much as possible he wants to confess to Nym personally but she did not give him a chance. 

SENT TO NYM: “Hi! Nym, It is hard for me to do this and I am afraid that after what I will tell you tonight will change our friendship. But I know to myself that I am true and sincere that it is okay to tell you because my intentions are good. I like you Nym, I really really like you. I know and understand that it is not your priority as of now. I am willing to wait. Just please give me a chance to prove myself to you. Please allow me to court you"

Rye did not receive a reply.

He sent another message.

SENT TO NYM: "Whatever it is, I will respect your decision. Please don't feel any pressure, I just felt that I need to be honest to you and tells you what I feel. I hope that you will not avoid me after my confession."

Rye has no response received from Nym. He realized how much he likes Nym, when they became friends, he became a changed person. He is always excited to go to school and attend their lessons. They will always sit beside  each other, they are always partners in projects. There were no dull moments when they were together. He can also make Nym laugh so hard that even her friends cannot.  Nym is very comfortable with Rye, she is not the loner, weird woman always at the corner of the classroom. She gained confidence and learned how to associate with other people. 

However, she still follows the rules of her parents.

Nym is the only woman who makes him feel content even though his life is not perfect. They both have the same experiences in life, and He believes Nym will be a perfect partner in reaching his goal in life. Rye smiled, He even imagined his life with Nym. She is very simple, she doesn't even put any makeup on but she still looks very attractive. Her smile, her laugh, her eyes, he never gets tired of those. He can even spend the whole day at the library with Nym. He was very protective of her. He even avoided the other girls, things he would not do before. Nym helped him to realize so many things in life, he became more focused on his games and his studies. Nym is just so different from everyone, He Loves her. Yes, Rye is in love with Nym. This is not only an attraction but she loves Nym. 

Rye smiled, “Yes, I Love you Nym, I really really do, I hope we can still be at least the same after this night. I cannot lose you right now. Oh God, please help me”

He did not receive a response until He wakes up.
