Berean Baptist Church
“HARD TO BELIEVE Vent has been with us for two years,” Esther Washington mentioned to her husband, Thomas, as they made their way to services at the Berean Baptist Church. “I’m not his natural mother, but he’s my boy now. The war is over. Things are getting back to normal, and Vent needs some normal too. I believe he’ll never be right until he tells us what happened during the riots, ’cause we can only help him if he tells us. Thought he might tell Minister Sundick, but he hardly ever goes to services.”
