Chapter Twenty-Seven Delilah I was fuming inside, flushed with defensiveness and anger. Obviously, Alex thought everyone should have the kind of life he did with tons of close friends and everybody knowing everything about him. I swallowed my anger and stayed quiet, watching the mountains as we drove. I loved his parents and his sister, and I loved this cute little town. I could see why Remy fell in love with it when he got a job out here. The word beautiful didn’t do it justice. It was breathtaking and stunning, and everybody was freaking nice.
