The moment the security guard mentioned Langley Enterprises, the atmosphere inside Damien Hayes’s office turned ice cold. Isabella Vicks felt her heart pound in her chest. “Are you sure?” Damien asked slowly. His voice was calm, but the tension beneath it was unmistakable. “Yes, Mr. Hayes,” the guard replied. “We ran the license plate twice to confirm.” Isabella’s fingers tightened around her phone. “So the car outside my building last night… belonged to Victoria’s company?” The guard nodded. “Yes, Miss Vicks.” A heavy silence followed.
