RETURN OF THE VAMPIRE KING

PRINCE REX'S ESCAPE

After the discussion with the general , Vincent and Layla both moved to Rex's room where the boy was fast asleep , Layla walked to his bed and sat by his side and in a heartbroken voice she said “My baby boy Rex , tomorrow the preparation will begin and in a few days you will leave . My boy , my lovely baby , I want you to grow strong while you are away and come back to fight for mommy , daddy , grandpa and all the people you love ”Vincent stood by her and patted Rex's hair which made Rex to wake up his eyes were barely able to stay open “mommy , daddy ” Rex yawned “Rex promise your mother and I something ” “what is it daddy ” “Promise me that you will punish anyone who cause your family and loved ones pain and suffering ” “Yes , father, mother I will protect you grandpa and every one and anyone that makes you cry will pay" Layla gave a sad smile and kissed Rex on the cheek “goodnight my love , and dont forget your promise ” “goodnight” . The king and Queen left to their chambers , the vampire realm was always dark but became darker at a certain time of the night . In the king's chambers Layla and Vincent sat at the tea table in silence till Vincent broke the silence “Let us take heart and search for a safe place for Rex to stay with your brother till he can return back and fulfill his destiny, so please take heart” Layla let out a long sigh “Fine , please bring out the map of realms , so we can pick and please also send for my father and brother , in the mean time I will freshen up ” Vincent sent for the General and his son , A few minutes later the general and Azar arrived . The four sat at the tea table with a map showing all the realms “of all the five realms which would be safer for Rex ”said Layla “We won't be able to blend in with the dwarves or ware wolves , we have to escape the vampire realm , the wolves and the vampires have been on a bad page for centuries so we have only the human realm it is conducive , well a bit and we don't have to worry about feeding , so what do you all say” “well son, your knowledge is a replica of mine . I feel Azar is right ” “Well I also feel its okay" said vincent “so too mean to say that Rex can only go to the human realm, Well............"Layla paused for a few minutes “ I agree, but Azar please take care of my son and make sure he can return one day to claim his throne ” “ I promise not only you sister but all of you here that Rex Sarlies will return and become the king of Secars , I swear on my life

A lot of materials were provided among them included a magic ring to protect Rex and Azar from the sun light , a magical pouch to store blood and many others . The portal to the human realm had been preparef for the next day , the day when the battle plans begin , the day when Rex will be sent to the human realm with his uncle Azar.

In the study of the palace the King , Queen , the General and Knight Azar were seated around the reading table “Now the reason why I called you all here is because we cannot send Azar and Rex to another realm without a back story , so I invited some one who should be with us soon”said General Tobeh a few moments later a knock was heard on the door “I think my guest has arrived. you may enter." Then the door was pushed open and a man who looked to be in his late sixties with , he had a long beard, he was wearing a blue robe in which his shoe couldn't even be seen , he also held a staff of his height and despite hos old appearance he still stood upright and sturdy ,he bowed and greeted “ Good day your majesties , General, knight Azar , I am Kendric Law , I am the vice chancellor of the mage institute , I was summoned here by General Tobeh concerning the issue of the rebellion and the heir's escape " “Well I no longer need to introduce him anymore . Kendric here has studied all the realms and can give us a solution to our earlier problem " Tobeh then gestured to a seat beside his and Kendric sat down and brought out a journal “I guess the general forgot to mention that I have also studied the rebellion prophesy thoroughly , this journal contains all my discoveries regarding the prophesy. As regards to the back story , ” he then skimmed the journal to a dusty page “The heir to the throne must be trained in battle , patient, brave , endearing and most important of all is to have a solid leadership skill , since the human realm is the only realm where you both can blend I suggest the position of a senior knight to Azar and his underling Rex , that way he can be well versed in battle and have all the qualities required of a king " everyone looked satisfied with kendric's suggestion . Vincent scanned The faces of the oeopke at the table then spoke“well we all agree with what you have suggested but how do we go about that "“ I have a spell that I will cast on them which will send them to the human realm as a senior knight and his underling , but ,Rex must never forget his roots and why he is in the human realm." Azar immediately replied with a firm expression “ I will make sure Rex remembers his duty as the heir and when time is right he will return. " “please if you will all excuse me I need to start preparing the spell " “oh please do get going ". said Layla in a rushed tone . More preparations were being made ,and late in the evening, Layla and Vincent went to find Rex who was in the study immersed in a book , the door was pushed open in a gentle manner which caught Rex's attention , he stood up and bowed respectfully “Mother, Father ” Vincent and Layla sat opposite Rex and couldn't speak for some time as if the words were stuck in their throats , Vincent then broke the silence “Rex how are the preparations for your departure going ? ” Rex had no idea that he was leaving for good he was told that he was leaving the realm for a few weeks to learn the ways of creatures of the other realms “they are going great , I can't wait to see the life outside the realm " he said in a cheerful voice “Rex .... there is something your mother and I have to tell you . You are not just leaving the realm but you are going to the human realm to live for a few years , I know we should have told you earlier but .............(sigh) , a rebellion is about to take place , the rebellion from the prophesy and we may not survive it , even if we do we will be at a loss you are the heir in the prophesy and the liberator of our people so we cannot let you get involved in this war that is why we have to send you away. " Rex's face had a complicated expression for a few moments before he replied “Father , mother , I understand and I promise to fulfill the prophesy and make you all proud ” Layla was moved to tears that she stood up and went to embrace Rex , Vincent also joined in and they remained like that for a while before letting go of each other , Rec was then send to his room to take a long rest I preparation for the next day , Azar was also getting rested to prepare for the big day ..............

The next morning before the break of dawn the king , queen , general ,mage, knight Azar and Rex were all gathered in a secret room below the palace where a portal stood , that portal was that gateway to the human realm , kendric then raised his hand and began to speak in a foreign tongue ,he them began to sprinkle a blue powder on Rex and Azar , after some time he finished the spell and the said to them both “ you both hold the future of this realm , the realm of the vampires , our fates and the fates of the generations to come lies in your hands , this may seem like a burden and it is so treat it like your lives depend on it " General Tobeh then came forward and said “Rex , Azar ,you both are my blood and I do not wish to see my blood carry suh burden , especially you Rex, boys of your age not noble and only care about their studies and fun , but, you have to take such a responsibility. ..... I wish you both the best in this journey and look forward to you claiming this realm back , I may not be alive to see it but still do it for us your family and your people" Vincent and Layla both walked up to Rex and gave his a big hug and then walked back to their initial position and said together “Rex our son we wish you the best in life a hope you return safely " Rex and Azar bowed and walked through the portal . The room then went silent , Then Kendric spoke up “you all may feel sad but this us not the time to wallow but the time to prepare for the war, it may seem far but the rebels have already planted their seeds and those seeds are starting to germinate , so I suggest you all hope and pray for Rex and, Azar at the same time prepare and maybe try to make their jobs easier " " “Yes! you are right, those council members have crossed the line , even if I the king can't make them pay my son will , father I think we need to get prepared cause i feel trouble looming around us , and I feel this war may take place sooner than we expect
