Chapter 3

Alexandria POV

    After a torturous elevator ride and father chewing our asses some more about "staying together", I'm finally in my hotel room. Surprisingly, I've got my own room. Small, but quaint with a balcony looking out to the beach, mini kitchenette, a badass steamer shower and a super comfortable king size bed.

    After sitting for a few, I decided to grab some comfortable clothes, take a much needed hot shower, and go explore the hotel.

    Looking through my suitcase for a swimsuit, I noticed that almost all my super cute clothes I had purchased for Spain were no where to be found. Instead I found a bunch of basic fuller coverage clothing. Jeans, sweatpants, t-shirts.....All my typical clothes I usually wear at home in Vermont. What. In. The. Actual. f**k?

    Raging with anger I stormed across the hall to my parents suite and furiously hit the door until they answered. "What's wrong sweetie?" My mother asked cautiously.

     "Where. Are. All. My. Clothes?! Where the f**k are all the clothes I bought for this trip and WHY is my suitcase full of my typical home clothes?!" I asked, seething with anger.

    "Step inside and we will talk." My father said flatly. I wasn't in the mood for his nonsense and I damn sure wasn't about to back down to his bullshit either.

    "Absolutely not. You want me to step inside and "talk" with you? Answer my question! Where are my clothes!!"

    "Alexandria....This attitude of yours will not be tolerated. Step. Inside. Now." He said using a slight Alpha tone.

     It didn't matter. I was beyond pissed and his aura wasn't wasn't phasing me for once.

      Lexi....You're starting to draw a crowd. Just listen to dad please, there has got to be a reason. Luca said worriedly through the mindlink.

    "No. Either answer my question or book me a flight home. I'm sick of being controlled! I've never been allowed to shift, you forced me to skip my college graduation for this f*****g event, now you are trying to control what I wear?! f*****g tell the truth for once! I'm sick of this!" The words rolled out and I wasn't about to stop them. My mom, brothers, dad's beta, and the roughly 20 other inhumans that had gathered during my outburst all looking at us in shock and disgust. The whispers had started, but I didn't care. All I could do is look at my father. I loved him, but I was over his control of my life.

     Before I had the chance to say anything else, my feet were off the wall, my back and head slammed into the wall behind me and my fathers hands tightly around my neck trying to squeeze the life out of me with a fury in his eyes.

     "You disrespectful little pup! I should have locked you away when I had the chance!" My father said as his grip on my neck got tighter, the black spots started dancing across my eyes, my breaths getting shorter and shorter, I could feel myself losing the battle to stay awake....Hell even alive with the way his hands were vice gripped around me.

    Just as the last moments of what felt like my life were fading into oblivion....A voice caught my attention momentarily, though I couldn't understand what he said.

    Last thing I remember before I lost consciousness; my fathers death grip was gone, I hit the floor, and those gorgeous sea foam green eyes were staring into mine before everything faded into complete darkness....

Xander POV

I still can't believe she saw me. My Queen saw me.

"Dimitri....Got any ideas as to how she saw us?"

Not sure...Maybe because she is our mate? But even that doesn't make sense?

"No it doesn't. Goddess I don't know how many times my dad has snuck up on my mom over the years, he still does it."

Other than being a blessed wolf, I'm not sure how she saw us. We will have to ask her. Maybe her wolf can give us the answer we need.

"Do you think we should go introduce ourselves to our wonderful little mate then? And get to the bottom of it?"

Hmmm....Let me think. Go back to our room or go see OUR mate? You really are stupid sometimes. What I did do to be punished by the Moon Goddess to be paired with such a stupid human form.

"You really are a giant prick some days you know that?" I said flatly while standing up and heading towards the elevator.

Once I hit the elevator; I let down my cloak, rode up to the third floor (werewolf hearing, it's got its perks), and walked towards the hallway where her room was.

Just as I was getting ready to turn the corner, I'm met with about 20 or so inhumans blocking the way. "The f**k?" I thought to myself while looking towards the cause of this crowd and finally laying my eyes on my super pissed off looking mate standing in front of her family. Something was going on, and it didn't take long to hear what she was pissed off about.

"No. Either answer my question or book me a flight home." Hearing those words made Dimitri and me cringe at the thought of losing her already. But it didn't take long for the pain to quickly turn to rage...

"I'm sick of being controlled! I've never been allowed to shift, you forced me to skip my college graduation for this f*****g event, now you are trying to control what I wear?! f*****g tell the truth for once! I'm sick of this!" She ended and you could feel the pain radiating off her. While I wanted to be proud of having a feisty little mate, I was struggling to keep Dimitri at bay, already feeling his long claws digging deeper into my palms.

Controlling her?! f*****g forcing her to not shift! I want him DEAD! He snarled

"Dude we don't know the facts, what if she is just pissed off and saying......" Before finishing my thought Alpha Lorenzo stepped forward, grabbed Alexandria by the neck and threw her into the wall behind her slamming her head into the wall with such a force her head left a dent in the wall, all while keeping his death grip on her neck. Well.....There what little self control I had go out the f*****g door.

I proceeded to walk towards them, the bystanders quickly parting the way for me, my dark sinister aura was coming off in waves and everyone was submitting without a word being said. About halfway there I hear her disgusting excuse of a father speak.

"You disrespectful little pup! I should have locked you away when I had the chance!" Locked her away? The f**k is his problem!

Just as I was about to force him to stop, I see her face. Eyes rolling back into her head, lips starting to turn blue and what fight she had in her was quickly fading away. Dimitri quickly took control of my body, he couldn't see her this way either. My eyes quickly shifted to pools of black, the anger radiating off me in waves.

In one quick step I had his neck in my hands, he face registering who had a hold of him, fear emanating off his body as the vice grip around her neck went away, she quickly fell to the floor (f**k! I need to apologize for not catching her later.), and using my anger I threw him down the hallway, his body crashing into a decorative table and hearing the tell tale signs of bones breaking. Good. Serves the stupid fucker right.

Gaining my control back I quickly bent down to my gorgeous mate, anger flashing before me again seeing the already sickly black bruise around her neck and bloodshot eyes from her father starving her precious body of oxygen. Why was she suffering so badly? Where was her wolf to help heal her?

Quickly picking her up I whispered "I've got you my love." and for a brief moment her beautiful eyes met mine before she slipped into a limp unconscious state, breaking my heart into a million pieces.

Turning around to face everyone looking at me with shock and uncertainty, I quickly glare at everyone, forcing them all to submit. Satisfied with that I tell the bystanders to go to their rooms, say nothing and one of my warriors will be with them shortly to hear their recount of the event. As everyone went to their rooms, Nick showed up and I told him to take Alpha Lorenzo into custody until further notice.

Satisfied with that I looked at Alexandria's mother and brothers....With a simple "Follow me", I turned towards my room with them right behind me.

And what exactly is the plan here?

"Take Alexandria to our room and get her some medical attention, question her family, then deal with her father. Nick was right, he is up to something, and I have a feeling we will be heading to America to investigate this further...."

Agreed. Though I'd much rather go back and just rip out his throat and be done with it.

"My first priority is Alexandria. The rest will fall into place. Her safety and well-being come before anything else."

After reaching my room, I directed her mother and brothers to sit in the living room part of my suite and carried Alexandria to my bed. Carefully placing her her down and covering her up, a lone tear I didn't realize had escaped my eyes fell to her forehead. Kissing her forehead, I stood up and quickly mind-linked Nick asking him to get Elder Lilith to my room to check on Alexandria and help determine if her family was hiding something. Prior to becoming the Elder witch, she was a doctor and to this day possesses great powers involving truth and deception. If anyone can find out the truth....It's Lilith.

After regaining my composure I walked out to where her family was and sat down.

"Luna Ferrari....I can assume you and your sons are wondering why I brought your daughter and you all here, correct?"

"Yes Alpha King....We are to be completely honest. I'm rather confused about the whole situation in general."

"Well for one....Honesty is going to be your best policy here, if you value your lives. And two.....Alexandria is my mate." I said watching as their faces went from scared to shocked.

"M...M....Mate? Moon goddess my baby girl found her mate?! When did you two meet! Oh goddess, you probably hate us! I am SO sorry this is the way we are meeting!" Their mother sobbed. Hmm....Maybe these three are innocent to Alpha Lorenzo's statement.

"Luna Lauren, we actually haven't met yet. I realized she was my mate down in the lobby when your family arrived. I was on my way up to formally introduce myself when your husband.....Well you know the rest." Que more sobbing from their mother.

"So you do hate us, don't you Alpha King?" One of the brothers asked.

"And which brother are you again? My apologies I can never remember who is who." I laughed, finally releasing some of the tension in the air.

"Luca Emiliano Ferrari, future Alpha of the White Moon pack, my king." He said proudly.

"And I am Gianni Angelo Ferrari, future Beta of the White Moon pack, my king." Gianni stated with pride also.

"Well to answer your question Luca.....I don't hate you three, unless you prove to be a threat to my Queen like your father and Alpha has so far."

"Well....I guess we can't argue with that. Can we?" Gianni asked.

"Not really."

"Alpha King Romanoff.....May I ask a question?" Luna Lauren quietly asked. You could hear the fear and sadness in her voice.

    "Of course.....Also, just Xander please. I really hate the formalities." With a reassuring smile.

     "What is going to happen to us? What about my sweet girl Lexi? Goddess knows I can't deal if something happens to her again." She said while fighting back tears.

       "Again? Please elaborate on that some more." I said while trying to keep Dimitri at bay. He wanted nothing more then bloodshed for anyone that hurt our mate. I did too, but one of us had to stay in control.

       f**k off. Someone hurt her! They must pay!

    "We don't harm the innocent. And if these three are innocent then hurting them harms Alexandria, then we hurt her."

      .....Fine

    Realizing her family was staring at me, I cleared my throat and proceeded to speak.

    "My apologies. My wolf was having a moment. We are both rather upset and disturbed by your statement Luna Lauren. What did you mean when you said if something happens to her again? Also, nothing will happen to you three if you are innocent in all of this. Once Elder Lilith comes and checks on Alexandria, she is going to ask you some questions. If she deems you truthful, then we will move forward and have Luca and Gianni appointed as temporary Alpha/Beta of the pack until we figure out everything with Alpha Lorenzo. I can't trust that his Beta isn't involved somehow so he will be under trial also. I'm honestly surprised these two aren't already Alpha/Beta of the pack. So, you two ready for your leadership?"

    All three sat quietly for a moment in complete and utter shock. The feeling radiating off them was unsettling, almost like they weren't ready at all. I raised an eyebrow nat Luca, throwing him out of his shock and finally able to speak again.

    "My King....I mean Xander, Gianni and myself have never had any formal Alpha/Beta training. We honestly don't know anything about running a pack other than basics that we have heard from our father out in public." Luca said....Now it was my turn to be shocked.

    "Excuse me?! Your father told me you boys were right on track! That we would be retiring soon! What about the schooling we sent you to after you two turned 18?!" Their mother demanded.

    "Mom.....Dad literally enrolled us at Lexi's college for half a semester to keep an eye on her. We never left the state. Dad said it would be a good way to interact with the humans on a better level for when we start working at the businesses." Gianni stated.

    "You haven't even started at the businesses yet either?! Where the hell do you work then?!" Their mother asked.

    "Mostly patrols with the others. Again, dad said it was part of our training." Luca said, rather embarrassed.

     Watching this train wreck unfold was utterly heart wrenching. How is one of my packs in such an utter chaos and none of us know?

     Finally, Nick knocked on the door with Lilith in tow. Thank the Moon Goddess.

     "Ahhh.....Alpha King Xander. It's been too long my dear." She said while giving me a hug.

     "Elder Lilith, it's good to see you also. I wish this was meeting wasn't under these circumstances but you are one of the few I trust with something of this nature. Please come in. Anything to drink?"

    "Of course my dear. Vodka on the rocks. I know you always carry the good stuff." She said while Turing towards the Ferrari's.

    "Oh my. I didn't realize we had company. My apologies. Hello all, my name is Elder Lilith, the Great Witch." She said with her usual poise and grace.

     "Elder Lilith, it's an absolute pleasure to meet you. My name is Luna Lauren Ferrari of the White Moon pack and these are my identical twins Luca and Gianni Ferrari, future Alpha and Beta of the White Moon pack."

    "Ahh....White Moon. A well respected American pack and I believe the second biggest there correct?"

    "Yes it is Elder Lilith." Luna Lauren responded.

     "Lilith....This isn't a social call remember?"

     "Yes yes Xander. Just getting the pleasantries out of the way. So what is the nature of this meeting?" She asked quizzically.

    After giving her the rundown on everything she sat there musing over the situation for a few before she spoke.

     "So what exactly is it you'd like from me Xander?"

   "My top priority is Alexandria. Is she ok? Two, are these 3 being truthful in their statements? There will be an obvious trial involved and I only plan to prosecute the ones deserving of trial and death." I said watching as Lauren, Luca and Gianni's faces turned to horror over the potential death of Alpha Lorenzo.

    "Hmm....Well I can sense Alexandria's aura. She is going to be an exceptional Queen, Luna, wife and mother one day. But for now she needs to rest. Almost having her life taken from her is traumatic to her and her wolf. And these three, they are all innocent. But I do have one question that will either confirm or deny my theory my dear Luna. When was the last time you were able to mindlink anyone Luna Lauren?"

Wait....What the f**k?
