LEILA'S POV Grey stiffened and quickly turned. For a moment, I saw something I could not place flicker in the depths of his eyes. In a flash, it was gone, and he had on his usual stoic expression. He turned back to the books. In a series of movements almost too fast for me to follow, he shut the book he was reading, piled the other books on top of each other. The book he was making notes on was the first he closed. "Do you always sneak up on people like that?" he asked tersely. "I didn't exactly tiptoe when I was coming here.
