LEILA'S POV
The woman who had interrupted Grey and I asked me a question when she did not find what she was looking for. I gave her an answer. Then I realized I did not even know what I said to her. Judging by the surprised look on her face, I had said something really stupid.
"Excuse me," I said, before hurrying away.
The rest of my time at work passed in some kind of daze. I avoided talking much, because I couldn't seem to concentrate long enough to listen to people and string sentences together. Thankfully, it was only a few minutes to closing time. I had my bag ready before it was time to go, and was one of the first persons to head out the door.
