LEILA'S POV
I shot a glance at Ruelle who looked scandalized at my question. For the life of me, I didn't know why she would feel that way. Was it because the man was obviously stinking rich? I had not meant to say that, but now that I had, I was curious to hear his reply. Ruelle's manner toward him made me feel that the word 'Alpha' was some sort of title he had. In my head, it was like the equivalent of titles people called royalty.
Looking back at the man made me wonder whether I had somehow offended him by my question after all. There was an odd look on his face which I could not interprete. Then the corners of his lips twitched and he chuckled.
