LEILA'S POV My phone beeped. I slowly straightened. I had been reading for about a couple of hours now. I got to my feet, marked my place in the book. Ruelle hadn't once interrupted me though I was sure that she was in the house. I unlocked my door, listened stepped into the living room. Ruelle, her back to me, was poring over a magazine. I was still getting used to the fact that she now mostly left me alone. For that, I was thankful. I picked up my phone, read the message. 'Don't forget... 7p.m,' it read. A lips curved into a smile as I typed a reply to Gale's message. 'Where are we going?' 'Always curious. Fine. I'll give you a clue.' I waited for some moments, then he sent an emoji of a rose flower. 'Your clue is not very helpful,' I replied. 'Tick tock, Leila, tick tock.'
