"A gift? . . . for me?" I asked excitedly, hugging the box to myself and twirling around in his office.
Desmond laughed as he watched my excitement.
" Is it bad to get a gift for my little sis? " he asked in a teasing tone.
" Not really, just wondering how it is I get an early birthday gift this year when usually I have to remind you days after. "
" I . . uh . . uhm . ." he stuttered
" I should have known " I exclaimed, throwing the gift on his table and folding my arms, my disappointment evident. He was by my side in a blink, taking me into his arm.
" Come on Daisy, you can't be like this with your old man all the time, you know I have a lot of things on my mind, but no matter how busy I am, I'll always create time for you my little flower. "
