Chapter Twenty-Four
Quinn stared at Gideon for a moment, thinking over his words. “No. I’m thinking like a human who has learned how to outsmart some Fae.”
Before Gideon could reply, Marley interrupted. “How am I going to get home?”
“Exactly how I’d always planned. Through a moon portal. As long as you go tonight, it should be full enough for you to get through.” She took the three two-dollar coins from her pocket and held them out. “If you end up where I did, it’ll be about a twenty minute drive from home. I’ll write down Scout’s number for you. He’s agreed to pick you up.”
“You saw him? How is he?” Marley frowned. “Hang on, why can’t you ring him when we go home?”
