Chapter Thirty Quinn remained where she stood, not daring to take a single step towards him until the sun rose. She remembered far too clearly last time she’d faced him here. His eyes glittered as much now as they had then. As the fear continued to surround her, she tightened her fist. The iron she wore felt solid and comforting, but it wasn’t enough to completely cut through the fear. It disappeared the moment the sun rose and she watched the change in Gwyl. The predatory look faded and the glitter left his eyes. Even the way he held himself changed. He no longer looked like he was barely restraining himself from leaping on his prey.
