My mind went blank. "I… I didn't ask."
Serena raised a brow. "You didn't ask."
I nodded.
Aliyah looked even more confused now. "You didn't even get his name?"
"I just wasn't thinking," I said, my voice smaller now. "We were just had a little conversation about her particular book. One thing led to another, and we met ourself doing this."
Serena took a slow dangerous step closer. "So why lie that it was a stratch?"
