The bright torchlight shone brightly on us. I froze mid-kiss, my body instantly shifting from desire to protectiveness.
Crystal gasped against my mouth, her fingers tightening in my shirt as the bright light blinded both of us for some second. My wolf let out a loud growl that I barely managed to keep inside my chest.
'Protect our mate.'He growled.
I could feel my fangs threatening to come out, my muscles coiling with the need to shield her from whoever the hell was standing there.
I pulled Crystal behind me as fast as I could, my larger frame blocking her from the light. My hood was still up, while my scarf was still covering the lower half of my face, but it wouldn't matter if this was someone who knew me well.
