  RYAN POV   Everywhere was dark and eerily quiet.   I stood by the large window in my office, my gaze fixed on the training grounds below. The field was now empty, but the scent of blood and sweat could still be perceived in the air, wind spreading it around.   Today's training had gone exactly as expected. And yet… something about it felt off.   My fingers tapped slowly against the glass, my thoughts replaying every movement, every reaction, every detail I might have missed.
