“No, no, no it can’t be just it can’t” I busted out in tears, I was so angry how could Gabi hide this from me?

“Dani what a matter” Michael saw me crying and leaned down to hold me, he pulled the paper from my hand and looked at it, he put it aside and said nothing, and he just held me till I stopped crying.

“We have to go we don’t have time for this” I wiped my face, grabbed the cash and walked to the car, Michael followed.

I got into the car and slammed the door shut, I pulled out my phone to call Gabi and confront her, when I looked at the screen there was a voice mail.

BEEP!

Hey Dani its Gabi running a little behind schedule ran into a pain in my ass will see you as soon as possible. Ok bye.

“What did she say?”

“I think they ran into Crowley, let me try and call her”

RING! RING! RING! RING1

“Hello luv how are you this fine evening” it was Crowley, why does he have her phone, they must be in trouble. When I see that dwarf I’m going to seriously hurt him.

“Where’s Dani?”

“Well the last time I saw her and her boyfriend they were in hell” he hung up.

“Change of plans were going to hell”

“What? Why? Who was that?” he pushed the brakes and the screeched.

“It was Crowley”

“And how do you suppose we get there?”

“Wait you can’t get us there?”

“Last time I checked hell is where demons linger not angels”

“Well then I guess where going to Rome after all” I said with a big grin on my face.

“What are you planning in that head of yours?” he turned to face me.

“Were going to go visit some demons”

Michael didn’t argue he knew I was right so he put his foot o the gas and drove to the airport.

We arrived at via dei Villini 10, 00161 Rome, Italy, hotel Galeno.

Michael went to the front desk to get us a room, the man at the desk handed him a key room 24, I grabbed my bag followed Michael to our room.

We entered the room it was small and dark, the floors had red carpets, the bed sheets looked as if they have never been changed. The walls were thin you could hear every noise, the room was hot there were no air conditioning, I walked towards the window and opened it, the air outside was cool and refreshing.

“Let’s go”

“Where we going?”

“To meet some friends”

We left the hotel and took a walk to a restaurant called Orlando the building was a mustard color, it was small inside. We sat down and waited for Michael’s friend, the chairs are wooden and has cushions on them are white with black squares, the tables are square with red and white table clothes on them, and on the table in front of me is a gold plate and a tinted glass with a gold stem.

Michael’s friend sat down, I looked up to see who it was.

“Lyle what the hell, you’re a demon?” I was shocked I had no Idea.

“Hello to you too Dani, yes I’m a demon, so where’s your sister?”

“In hell, why the hell are you so damn interested in my sister?”

“She’s the sacred one, you know the one who holds all the marks upon the body shall lead us all out of temptation” he popped his head to one side, his hair is long, thick and light, his eyes glowed a golden color and his skin as white as snow.

“So what happens when you find her?”

“Oh well I’ll have to see how many markings she has first”

“And then what? AH!”

“Dani what’s a matter” Michael grabbed my arm.

“Nothing just cramps, you know girl stuff, and you were saying Lyle?”

“It’s you isn’t it? The one” he laughed.

“Take us to hell Lyle” I demanded in agonizing pain.

“Fine, but first I want to see those markings” he pointed towards my stomach.

He shifted his chair next to mine, I lifted up my shirt there was another marking next to the first one.

“What does that one mean” I was over the whole shock thing, I realized more were coming.

“It’s the sign of Gabriel, oh and I see you already have Michael’s” he grinned.

“How many are there?” I looked at Michael but Lyle answered.

“Four, who was born first?”

“Gabi why?”

“Well let’s see if she was born first and you have two that must mean she has three” he mumbled to himself.

“That’s impossible only one…”

“Every ten millennium yes I know, but their twins they were made from the same egg, which makes them one person” he interrupted Michael.

“Okay but what made you think of this now?” I interrupted the both of them murmuring in the corner.

“If I were you I’d find a way for those signs to stop on your sister behalf, your fine on the other hand” Lyle was so pleased with what he knows, and I’d like to know as well.

“Why what happens when she gets all four symbols” I was quite concerned now he officially has my attention.

“Well like they say that’s for me to know and you to…”

He disappeared, great now how are we getting to hell?

“Don’t worry he’ll be back”

And he was except he had some kind of satchel with him.

“What’s in the bag” I coked my head to one side.

“It’s a map” he pulled out this long scroll and unrolled it.

“Where did you get that?” Michael jumped over the table to grab it but failed.

“I found it, but that’s not important because you’re going to need it”

“For what?” Michael was now very annoyed.

“okay let’s give you the big picture here, your sister is not going to get the symbol of Michael, it’s going to be the symbol of the beast, which means the apocalypse is going to happen before it should, understand”

“So how exactly is this map supposed to help us and how did this happen”

“Well you know Lucifer got his ways, I’m not sure how but he did something, this map show you where to find the four original symbols” he pointed to the map.

“Okay so where to first?”

“Tigris-Euphrates River valley”

“The what?” I asked as if they had just spoken another language I didn’t understand.

“The garden of Eden” Michael looked at me hoping I wouldn’t think he was crazy.

“That place actually exists?”

“Yes and that is where you will find Ariel” Lyle pointed to the location on the map.

“But first we need to go to hell and find Gabi, will you take us?” I turned toward Lyle hopping he would.

“Sure on one condition-

I knew he would say that, I’m hopping its nothing extreme-

You take me with you to the garden of Eden”

Okay so it’s not too extreme it’s not like he’s asking for blood or anything, besides he might be of some use he seems to know a lot about this stuff, more than Michal what that was about.

I smiled at Lyle and nodded my head as to say deal, we left the restaurant and went to a back ally. Lyle took my waist and pulled me towards him, then we disappeared leaving Michael behind, we popped into hell at least I thought it was hell, it was hot and we were surrounded by red and black charcoal walls.

“Where’s Michael?” I push him off me, I was furious I knew I couldn’t trust I’m, he’s on Crowley’s side, he’s a demon.

“Relax Michael can’t come down here, I didn’t do it on purpose” he lifted his arms in the air as to give up.

“Why can’t he come down here?”

“He didn’t tell you?-he grabbed me and pulled me behind one of the charcoal walls, his arm was a round my waist and my back was faced towards him I could feel him breathing down my neck-he’s an archangel, he didn’t tell you?” he whispered.

I didn’t answer I just turned around to look at him now face to face, his skin was pale and skinny, his hair covered his eyes I brushed my fingertips over his forehead to move it out the way so I could see his eyes, they were pure gold our eyes locked he pushed his soft lips into mine, I was not expecting it but I didn’t pull away ether.

“Oh I wander what your boyfriends going to say luv- I pulled away I recognized that voice it was Crowley- kissing demon and all, just saying”

“Where is she?”

“Who?”

I gave him a, don’t be annoying face.

“Oh you sister, yes will her and her boy toy took off a while ago, right after we spoke on the to be exact”

“You tricked me” I stepped towards him but Lyle pulled me back.

“Indeed I did, but I just want to talk”

“Fine let’s say I buy what you selling, what do you want to talk about?”

“Those marks on your sister, do you have them?”

“What marks?”

“The symbols of…ah I see what game you playing”

“Let’s get out of here” I turned to Lyle, he pulled me close then we disappeared again.

We popped back in the ally Michael wasn’t there but he left a note.

“What does it say?” he reached for the note I pulled it away before he could reach it.

“He’s gone to get recruits” I put the not in my pocket.

I looked up at the sky and realized it was night time, has the time in hell been that long, when did Michael leave? How long would he be? I all of a sudden felt empty without him, I hadn’t had time to process mine and Lyle’s kiss, what did it mean and why did it happen? I felt Lyle’s hand slip into mine he led us back to the hotel. He pulled out the key from my pocket and opened the door, he let go of my hand and turned around to close the door.

I was tiered and confused I decided to lie down on the bed, I curled up into a ball and fell asleep.

I woke up to whispers, I opened my eyes and it was early morning, I took a look around and the room was filled with people, Michael was standing in the comer of the room having a discussion with the others.

He looked up and realized I was awake, he walked towards the bed, and I sat up. He sat next to me and pulled my chin towards his, he push his lips to mine they were sweet and soft, I felt guilty for kissing Lyle I had made up my mind I had to tell him but first I will discuss it with Lyle.

“Dani I’d like you to meet Samael, Raguel, Remil, Uriel, Asher”

I stood there identifying the strangers in front of me, Samael’s hair was dark and short, his skin glowed a honey shade and his eyes are misty and dull, his lips are full and have no color, Raguel has a boy look about him his long brown fringe hung in face and his skin was a dark shade as if he’s spent too much time in the sun, his eyes bright green, Remil her hair was all over the place bright red, her skin was a plum color and her eyes are brown with a tint of red in them, Uriel has long mouse brown hair and big hazel eyes her skin is pale but her cheeks glowed rosy red ,Asher she was the perfect girl her hair is blonde and curled perfectly around her face, her eyes were crystal blue, her lips full and bright pink she was beautiful.

I turned towards Lyle his big goofy eyes staring directly at me, there are two strangers next to him, a woman and a man. The woman had pitch black hair pulled back into a ponytail, her eyes crystal white which matched her skin and her lips are a silvery kind of color.

The man was tall and skinny his light blonde and his eyes had no color he seemed so sad and lost.

“Who are they?” I asked him confused.

“This is Alloces and Andras, there demons” he smirked.

“Which means their angels?” I asked staring at the others I had just met.

“Yes is that a problem?” Alloces asked, her voice so peaceful and tame.

I shook my head in shock, never in my life did I think I’d be standing in a room filled with angels and demons, it overwhelmed me.

“He are you okay? “Uriel stroked my arm.

“I’m fine thank you, so are we all going to the Garden of Eden?”

“No were going to split up”

“What since when? I don’t trust them” Lyle pointed at the group of angels.

“Why because there angels, there the good guys, the chose the right side remember? The only reason why this is happening is because of Lucifer which happens to be the side you chose, so tell me why we should trust you? “Michael was furious.

“Because I have the map” Lyle pulled it out holding out for everyone to see.

“Oh I did not expect this, thank you “Crowley popped out of nowhere and grabbed the map, Lyle tried to fight him off but Crowley managed to escape with half of the map.

“He tore half it off” Lyle was shocked and angry.

“Great now we only have half a map, you see we need to trust each other, that’s why we are here to help one another and if it hadn’t been for your bickering we’d have a hole map -I grabbed the my from Lyle and shoved it in my pocket-now raise of hands who doesn’t trust me?”

I pulled out the map to see the two places we did have, the Garden of Eden and Switzerland.

‘Switzerland?” I mumbled to myself.

“Where in Switzerland?” Samael’s spoke up his voice was husky.

“Some museum?”

“Which one?”

“ museum, we have to get the half of the map back, the whole point of this was to split up and get the objects faster”

“Okay well go to Eden” Samael smiled, Remil, Uriel and Andras stood next to him.

“And well go to Switzerland” Raguel said, Asher and Alloces followed

“Michael and I will go get that map” I was happy to see everyone working together.

“And where exactly do I fit in?” Lyle was not amused.

“Pick a group” I shifted my shoulders.

“I’m going with you”

“No you’re not “Michael was still upset about earlier.

“Look I lost the map the least I can do is help you get it back”

“Fine but we have to trust one another” Michael agreed.

Lyle grabbed our arm and poof we were in hell again, the place still looked the same, we headed down a passage that led into another room a gate shut behind us.

“Ah will you look at the luv birds” I could recognize that voice anywhere it was Crowley.

“Give us back the map Crowley” I shouted.

“Alright you can have the map, just tell your boyfriend what happened last time you two were here”

Shit this was not the best time they were just getting along.

“What happened?” Michael turned to us.

“Don’t!” Lyle looked at me.

“I have to, I was going to tell him anyways, and I just wanted to clear things up with you”

“And would of told you then like I’m saying now don’t”

“We need the map”

“Tell me Dani, what it is?” his face was so…I didn’t want to hurt him.

“I kissed her” Lyle finally admitted.

“Did you kiss him back?”

“Go on luv tell him” Crowley mocked in the background.

“Yes” I looked down at my hands twiddling my thumbs.

“I see” his head was down he was heart Brocken.

“Now give us the map Crowley” Lyle shouted.

“Michael it didn’t mean anything, I’m not sure what happened”

“Of cause you’re not I drugged you” Crowley smirked.

“Oh please you think I don’t notice when people come into my Kingdom, please, I put it in the air a little hormones”

“Give us the map Crowley, I’m done playing your games”

“Come and get it” he laughs then disappeared.

“Wait I thought you said Michael can’t come down here?”

“He can’t”

“Then who is that?” I turned to what seemed to be Michael now very afraid.

He turned into a hound, it was big, hairless and had mucus dripping from everywhere.

Lyle grabbed my arm but by the

time he got me the beast had already bitten into my leg, we popped up in another part of hell.

“AH” I screamed.

“Dani your leg, we have to get you back” he picked me up and transported us out of there.

“Dani, what happened?” he yelled at Lyle.

“Hell hound I have to go back, we that map” he disappeared before we could say anything.

“Are you alright?” we looked at my leg and all of a sudden the bites were gone.

“You have the gift to heal”

“I have to go back”

“But how”

Next thing I know I was in hell, I heard noises it was Crowley and Lyle arguing.

“Just give me the map”

“Why so you can impress your new girlfriend”

“She’s not my girlfriend”

“Oh come on son you’re in love with her”

“No Crowley the map’ you don’t need”

“Where the others?”

“Heading to the locations as we speak”

“Oh good well have our kingdom quicker that we thought, here take the map make me proud son”

I disappeared before he could see me.

“Did you find him” I couldn’t tell him.

“Find who?” it was Lyle with the map.

“You did it, what’s the next location?” Michael patted him on the back.

“It doesn’t matter were not going, Lyle a word”

“What’s up?” his head c****d to the side with a grin pulled up tight.

“I know your Crowley’s son, give me the map” I put out my hand enjoying the shock on his face.

“Here you can have the map, I maybe Crowley’s son by genetics, doesn’t mean I’m on his side” he handed me the map, his face was filled with disappointment and anger toward Crowley.

“Keep the map, if Michael trusts you I do too” I pushed the map towards his chest.

“Ready to go?” Michael jumped in between us.

We took a look at the map it was blank.

“It’s blank there’s nothing on here” we looked up at each other in surprise, I studied Lyle’s face he seemed just as surprised.

“He played us, son of a b***h” Lyle’s face was red and filled with anger he threw the map in to a pole of water in alley we were standing in.

“Look!” I pointed to the map lying in the puddle, the water had seem to unmask the map or at least a part of it.

“Switzerland I don’t understand” I shook my head confused.

“It’s the same as the other half”

“We need to find the others, we need to put the map together or this will never make sense” Michael took the map from me and put it in his coat.

“So who has the other half?” I asked Michael.

“Samuel, there heading to Eden we need to meet them there”

“Where exactly is Eden?”

“It’s in Iraq “Lyle whispered.

“Iraq as in the country, a very dangerous country may I add”

“We have to Dani, besides there weapons can’t hurt angels and we need to make sure we stay out of sight” Michael assured me.

We decided to fly to Iraq, it wasn’t that far a flight, but on the way there something caught my eye, I squinted my eyes to see what it was. It wasn’t a what, it was, a who.

“Asher?” I whispered to myself, I flew down hoping the others would follow.

I got to the roof and Asher was lying on her side, back faced towards me, I called her name but no answer, I walked towards her and put my hand on her shoulder to turn her around. I stepped back in shock, I have never seen a dead body before. Her eyes were a misty, glassy grey as if all the life they once consumed was now gone. I could feel warm drops of water traveling down my face, I hadn’t realized I was crying until Michael had stepped in front of me.

“What’s wrong?” Michael stood in front of me but his voice was distant.

I just pointed towards Asher’s body, I couldn’t bring myself to speak, Michael turned to look at the body “You trust people too easily” he whispered as a grin grew upon his face, I stepped back and look down there was blood gushing out of my stomach,

“Michael?” I whispered barley able to say his name. He stood there with a bloody knife lingering at his side.

“Be careful who you trust luv” Crowley whispered to me before pushing me over the edge of the building.

I opened my eyes we were still flying over the edge of Rome, I turned my head to Michael still flying on my right, a dream that’s all it was, I must off drifted off. I looked down to see the building I had just dreamt of, it must be a sign so once again I flew down hoping the others would follow.

“Dani what are you doing down here?”

“I had a dream or a vision or something about this building” I stared into the comer where I saw Asher’s corpse was lying.

“We need to find a place to rest and lay low for a while” Michael put his arm on my shoulder showing deep emotion of concern.

“No! We need look for a clue or something, I think Asher left something for us here, and I’m just not sure what yet. Has she left you clues or warnings before?” I stumbled around the building reminding myself of Sherlock Holmes.

“Ah yes she has, but why would Asher leave us something on this specific building?” Michael looked at me now very concerned along with Lyle.

I explained my dream to them, Michael seemed very hurt by the fact that he had hurt me in the dream. We started looking for clues or warnings around the top of the building, I was surprised to see that they believed me and didn’t think I was insane, but the truth is I wasn’t so sure myself.

“There doesn’t seem to be anything here, are you sure it was this specific building?” I could see the pity in his eyes.

“I found something!” Lyle shouted from the other end of the building.

We ran towards him, he was holding up a necklace that belonged to Ashe I remember her wearing it when we met, it was a golden crest with a blue gem sitting in the middle.

“It’s Asher’s I saw here wearing it when we met, but what’s it doing here?”

“There’s blood here” Lyle swiped his index finger across the gravel of the roof.

“It’s black” I could barely release the words from my mouth.

“Dani we don’t know who’s blood that is, it could be anyone’s” Michael stepped towards me but I stepped back.

“We Might right we need to find a place to rest” I looked down twiddling my thumbs.

“Lyle take her to a safe haven, I need to see an old friend” before I could reply he lifted his wings and took off.

“Will that was a bit harsh, he didn’t even kiss you goodbye” Lyle turned to me with his hands in his pocket and that stupid but charming smile on his face.

“Don’t start let’s just find a place to lay low”

We were half way through Rome, Lyle said he knew some place for us to lay low for a while. We walked the streets for a while, it was silent and pitch dark, nothing but street lamps on. We stopped in front of a mansion, it was beautiful and old. Lyle ran the bell.

“So we never spoke about that kiss” Lyle leaned comfortably against the frame of the door, but his look was steady and serious.

“There’s nothing to talk about” I shrugged my shoulders, I lied there was much to talk to about, I was confused, I didn’t know who to trust.

The door opened the second time we rang the bell, there was a tall, well-shaped, middle aged man standing in the door way, his eyes were lime green and his hair pith black, it was wavy and sat just underneath his ears.

“Good evening Lyle, what do I owe the pleasure?” his voice was soft and gentle.

“We need a place to crash for the night, somewhere safe” Lyle was sloppy and ragged compared to this guy.

“You know you’re always welcome, and who may this young lady be?” he asked Lyle as he welcomed us in.

“The less you know the better” Lyle waved his question away, the man just nodded in agreement. I thought it to be very strange, you’d think two people who have been friends for a long time would discuss everything, but for all I know maybe they’re not that good of friends but no one just allows you to enter their home unless they know you well enough to trust you.

“The bathroom is upstairs to your right if you’d like to freshen up there is fresh towel in the linen cupboard inside the bathroom” he turned to me and smiled.

I thanked him and made my way to the bathroom but when I followed his directions I found myself in a very large bedroom that had an on suite bathroom. I threw my bag on the double bed and made my way to the bath room, the floor was made up of little pebbles that traveled all along the walls, the bathtub stood in the middle of the room and the shower was just a shower head pointing out of one of the pebbled walls, there were no shower curtains or doors. I uncomfortably got undressed and placed my clothes on top of the toilet where a two headed basin sat across from it with an oversized mirror above it. I decided to go with the shower, it was quicker, I lifted the nob and stood under the head of the shower, I closed my eyes as the water danced off my back, and the water was as hot as I could get it. I turned off the shower and headed to the linin cupboard and grabbed a very soft white towel. When I was done drying myself I pulled out my baby blue pajama shorts and vest, I made my way back down stairs and headed towards the kitchen, I was craving a nice hot up of Camiel tea.

“Good evening miss is there something I can assist you with?” I jumped at sight of the sight of a tinny woman standing behind me, she was wear a housekeeper’s uniform, her dark brown hair was pulled back into a tight bun and big hazel dhow eyes were staring at me apologetically.

‘Uhm yes I was just going to make myself some tea” I smiled at her awkwardly.

“Please have a seat miss, I’d be more than happy to help” she pointed towards the big wooded table standing the middle of the kitchen, I took a seat to tiered to argue.

“Is Camiel tea alright miss” she asked me in what I only notice now was a Scottish accent.

“That would be perfect thank you”

“It’s no trouble at all” she replied handing me my tea.

I wondered around the house looking for Lyle and what I call his friend, I heard whispers and followed it to what I think is study, the door was closed half way and I paused when I heard my name being mentioned in their conversation.

“You’re in love with her”

“I’m not in love with her Marcus, Michael asked me to protect her”
