CHLOE POV The company was so slik and chill, screaming luxury. This is my second visit but each feels like a new experience. The people are always perfectly dressed, while swiftly doing their work in a very organised manner. You can swear they are robots, I chuckled inwardly as I imagined them all as robots, don't judge. Walking to the reception, I meet a blonde lady, she looks a tad older than me yet so beautiful in her royal blue office wear. She was dressed in a Blue pantsuit paired with a white stilettos and a white scarfs. Her smile bright and capturing her beauty, she looks like a model. Her name tag was "Blair" with a text ' receptionist' above it. Hi, welcome to Omnicorp, how may we be of assistance, she beamed with a bright smile. Hello, I am scheduled for an interview and I'll need directions to the conference room, I chirped with a reciprocating smile. She directs me to the waiting room where other candidates were already seated. I breath, smiled, shake the anxiety off as I take a sit in line. The interview began, candidate went in and out. None of them was offered the position, my heart pounds loudly in my chest, I can swear it wants to burst out of my body. My anxiety grow as I get closer to the door. Finally, it was my turn. I exhale, closed my eyes and calmed my nerves. My stomach feels light and a nauseous feeling envelope me. Next, I heard a masculine voice call from behind the door. I smiled and said to myself , you've got this Chloe, it's just an interview. Slowly I opened the door and stepped in. The office was refined with the finest quality white furnitures to giving the room a pop from the noir paint. The placement of each art portrait giving a dominant and meticulous arrangement. The white desk is well arranged in perfect details. This office looks nothing like one I imagined, it was breath taking and dominating. The city landscape is in bold view from the large glass windows behind the desk. The chair is face to the view backing the door assuming the owning prefers the view to noting who just entered the office. Are you here for tour or do you mind stating your purpose, the voice barked in a tone that brooks no argument, causing me to flinch. I adjusted my stance, forcing my nerve into submission. I straighten my self then speak, I'd like to start by thanking you for having me here. I am a lady with clear values, impactful communication skill, and a natural ability for problem solving, whether it's sharing ideas, resolving a problem, or doing a task offered to me. When faced with challenges, I do not cower or hide under the shadow, I face it head on by strategizing, dissecting and acting with precision. I bring a balance of clarity, calm under pressure, I do not let anxieties or stress weigh me down, and I am creative which help me not just handle problems, but turn them into opportunities for progress. My name is Chloe Alexander, and I am looking forward to working with you. The chair turn over slowly facing me, I adjust myself waiting for what's about to happen. Our eyes clashed and guess who it was, the dude from earlier. Yeah, you guessed right, My life sucks. I rolled my eyes as I take in the figure before me. Witch, he growled with irritation laced in his voice. Hi demon, i fired back with a smirk. Life is really a b***h, girl did I steal your man in my previous deity life, for peace sake. Why can't you just let me enjoy the little things I do. It's always one disaster or another one, well not this time , you won't win. Don't you think life is amazing, Miss Alexander. Here you are, at my disposal and I, (he grins while he rise a brow) I am like a God to you. I can predict your fate regarding this enterprise. So--, before we proceed, why don't you apologize for dumping trash on me, then I'll call it even and we may proceed with the questioning. I heave, walking to the coffee machine, i brewed myself a cup of latte, then turn to ask him what he will want but he won't answer. I wiggled my nose at him not caring a least how scarry he looks. I brew an espresso. Walking closer to his table,I keep the cup of espresso careful and majestically before i presume my original position then smiled. Well, you and I know you won't hire me for this position but it's cool, I don't blame you though since destiny wants to play this dramatic game with me, I might return the favour by playing the coach, don't you agree with me sir.(wiggling my eyebrows up and down playfully.) So sir, while we are on this topic. I do not know what your head is brewing (I chuckled when I remember the coffee scene, Sip my latte and continue) by asking me to apologize for a sin I didn't commit, when clearly you bumped into me. You know what I find intriguing sir, the fact that you mix business and pleasure, I had high hopes about this job, you threw my breakfast, made me almost late for the bus, and you still want an apology. Yeah, sure, when pigs fly. So, if you won't be giving me the job because of how I behaved then be my guest and have a pleasant life breathing out the sadness, I back away to leave the office. Slow and steady I drag my disappointed body towards the door Stop right there miss, I didn't ask you to leave yet, I sat quietly while you spill nonsense. I'll advise you haul that sluggish body back where it was, or else I'll do it for you, a tone that sends goosebumps round my body, it was demanding and hold warning of punishment if disobeyed. I am a stubborn lady, but damn no will I act brave right now. I obeyed and stand in my previous position looking away from him. Good, I'll have to say Miss Alexander you are the first person that is less intimidated by my presence. I'll accredit you for that and the part where you aren't afraid to do and speak your mind even though I thought you were blabbing, exceptional. How did you know, I drink espresso out of all the options on the machine, he arched a crooked brow at me his facial expression sharpening his already dangerous charm. Well, I once worked in a cafe, and most men either order cappuccino or espresso. Judging from the interior and intensity blooming from this room, the aura I got was espresso, that's why I picked it, locking eye with him as I firmly conclude why I picked espresso over all the alternatives. Hmmm, impressive. So you read the room, you use people aura to determine how to speak and do things around them, that's commendable Miss Alexander. So one more question, what will you do if a rich and poor client come over with the exact emergency? He asked with interest evidence from his tone. Standing up from his seat, he walk and stands in front of me. So what do you think, who comes first Miss Alexander?. I rack my brain, heave and answer, Every customer matters. So in this case, I'll attend to the one who came in first, it will not only be rude but disrespectful if I ignore the first person and attend to the second due to high or low status sir. Marvelous, that was a brilliant answer. See you Tomorrow at 7 on the dot, don't be late. I hate late coming with that he went back to his seat. I hope you do well, because I'll be keeping a close eye on you Chloe Alexander. I won't hesitate to withdraw if you act from bribe or racism. I thanked him, said my farewell and existed his office happy. I almost scream out of excitement once I was outside his office but held myself. I'm treating my family to dinner, then break the big news. I am so happy and relieved.
