(Colten POV) I followed her scent — it was amazing and mouthwatering, like apple cinnamon on a harvest night. I started to panic a little when my wolf began walking deeper into the woods. Realizing my mate was alone out there made my chest tighten. But then my wolf spoke calmly, “She’s relaxed. Her wolf has control right now.” I often let Blaze take over when I feel overwhelmed or need a break, so I trust him. I just hope she’s okay. The sound of rushing water reaches my ears, and soon I see her — a beautiful white wolf. She’s larger than any she-wolf I’ve ever encountered, but what stops me in my tracks are her eyes. The most mesmerizing violet eyes I’ve ever seen are staring back at me. I can tell she’s talking to her wolf — when we do that, our eyes tend to glaze over. Blaze’s voice
