“Jayce … I trailed off.
I was very happy.
Jayce was being very sweet but there was something that was holding me back. I wanted to be with him and it had taken a lot to realize that even in all the pain I still had feelings for him. But what worried me was his actions. As much as I wanted to believe in him and think that we could move past it all, I worried about everything that could go wrong. At the end of the day, he had taken things so far and had humiliated me in front of the entire school. This was bringing up issues for me, especially being able to trust him.
Then there was the other side to all this. The fact that back then we were a bunch of teenagers who didn’t know any better. We both hurt each other unintentionally … but how far did that take us?
