Chapter Two

Mr. Alfred moved to a nearby town after the death of his wife to start life afresh, within a year he was well known and he was one of the richest men in the town, the envy of the town, every woman dream.

Even though Sarah was young she was able to handle the house chores but the father was always against it because she needed a Nanny for Sarah, someone to look after the affairs of the house while he was away.

A Lot of people applied for the position because he was well known, out of the people she saw Natalie and liked her and he employed her on the spot.

Natalie was very happy and she promised to deliver her job well.

Few months into the job, Natalie plans on how she can become the lady of the house.

She was caring, treated Sarah with love, and Mr. Alfred Started to like her more.

One day he called her and thanked her for the effort in taking care of his daughter.

He was telling Natalie that since his wife died, he hasn't been himself, he has finally found someone that likes his daughter and he declares his intentions to her, he holds her hand and asks her to take her time that he is ready to wait for her, Natalie was shy and ran out from his office.

When she got to her room, Natalie was feeling herself, how she will be the lady of the house.

The next day she asked Mr. Alfred to come and make his intentions known to her parents, Mr. Alfred with no doubt agreed.

Sarah was helping Natalie to clean the dishes when her father walk in and the both exchange pleasantry, he call Sarah to his office, he told her that he wants the best for her, that he wants her to have a mother in her life, he go on by telling her he is getting married, Sarah was sad, but he told her not to worry that he is getting married to Natalie, she was happy not knowing what await her.

A week later they got married, Sarah was happy, a few months into the marriage, Natalie got pregnant and everything changed.

Sarah was in her room, Natalie call her to come and clean the house,but she refused telling her that the work of a mother, Natalie slap Sarah and tell her that she can't talk back at her, on hearing her father voice, Natalie hold her stomach and scream that Sarah push her, she only ask her to help with the cleaning of the house but she push her, Sarah was shock she try to explain to the father but he didn't listen to her knowing well that Natalie is pregnant, he ask her to clean the house and whatever Natalie ask her to do, let her do it without complain.

Natalie made life miserable for Sarah. After she delivered Sarah turned into a maid, she was the one doing all the cleaning, Sarah was neglected by her father, he turned all his love to his wife and the child Joyce.

Joyce Greene was as beautiful as Sarah was, but had a heart as black as her mother's. She would always see Sarah as her competition and for this, she loathed her with every cell of her body, she join forces with the mother and torment Sarah, Even though Sarah had always wished for her and Joyce to be sisters, Joyce had always regarded Sarah as competition and would do what she can, to ruin Sarah's life.

Sarah always loved her but Joyce always show her the opposite.
