The Price of The Ex- Wife's Revenge

Chapter Three

Mr. Alfred went into a deal and invested all his life savings, the deal didn't pull through he lost all his savings.

He broke the news to the wife and the both suggested they sold Sarah out to Lady Orlena without her concerns.

Sarah's father returned one day with shocking news that the family was broke and needed money and for this, Sarah will have to get married so they could earn some money. Unbeknownst to Sarah, every arrangement had been made behind her back and on the next day, the P.A of her would-be husband arrived to take her to her new home, before Sarah left to her new husband's house, she is called aside by her step sister who apparently wants to make peace with her. Joyce gives Sarah a drink and even though Sarah is initially taken aback, she accepts this drink out of good faith and Joyce even offers to accompany her to her husband's house.

When Sarah got to her new husband's house, Regan's family were so excited to meet her and immediately liked her.

They order the maid to take her to the room while the table is set. While she was in her room a maid was sent to bath her and clean her up for her husband. She started to ask questions and the maid told her that she has been brought by the Regan's family to produce an heir that needs to smell good, she realizes that she was sold off to Billionaire Regan Carano. Before Joyce left, she handed a note to Regan and he retreated to his study for some privacy only to return later with a hostile personality and resentment towards Sarah. The moment they were alone, Regan promised her that she wasn't going to enjoy this marriage..

Sarah learnt that the reason why she was brought in as a wife was because Regan was the only male in the family of five children and the other four were all females. Regan's mother wanted his son to produce an heir and a grandson before she died. Because of this, Sarah was supposed to be able to birth a son for Regan and once the son becomes 2 years old, the marriage will dissolve.

True to his words, Regan began to make life a living hell for Sarah. Even though his sisters were nice to her, Sarah never felt comfortable at their house because of the harsh treatment inflicted on her by Regan. There were times Sarah would wish that she dies but there was absolutely nothing she could do to escape her harsh and brutal reality.

Joyce, who had become quite friendly, kept visiting Sarah and each time she visited, she'd bring Sarah her favorite drink. Sarah appreciated it and drank it. Each time she drank the juice she had a miscarriage, she would feel sad and cry over it.

Regan Carano Always shout at her that she took pile to abort the baby, she is not feet to be a mother, whenever he feels like having s*x with her, he will ask the maid to clean her up and pours sweet scent perfume on her, after the clean her up he will go to the room and force her while Sarah will lay down facing up and tear will run down her eyes.

While she was cleaning, Sarah entered Regan's study for the first time because it was unlocked and she saw a picture of her mother on the floor. Totally confused, she met Regan's sisters and they explained to her that the woman was their maid years ago. Sarah began to probe around asking what happened to the maid (her mother) but none of the sisters would tell her what actually happened.

Seeing how well behaved Sarah was, Regan's anger began to fade.. He began to become more gentle and slowly, his loving side began to surface. Regan even became more caring when he found out that Sarah was pregnant with his son!

On hearing that Sarah is pregnant Joyce visits her and brings Sarah her usual favorite drink. However, shortly after Sarah drinks the juice, she had a miscarriage and a near death experience.

She was rushed to the hospital by her sister in-law. After being examined by a doctor, the doctor told her that she has been poisoned and that what caused the miscarriage,which made it difficult for her to conceive, that her chance of getting pregnant again is 50/50.

Sarah realized immediately that Joyce was still the same black hearted girl she knew and would do anything to make Sarah's life hell.

After Sarah has been discharged from the hospital,She opens up to Regan about Joyce's cruelty and how Joyce had been poisoning her and how Joyce was responsible for her miscarriage. Surprisingly enough, Regan doesn't believe her. He accuses her of having an abortion and he insults her and tags her a witch for lying against her 'nice' and 'kind' sister, Joyce.

She wasn't shocked at all because of how he treated her.

Joyce visits the house again and Sarah angrily Confronts Joyce who denies everything. Joyce even goes as far as faking tears which enrages Regan, making him slap Sarah hard on the face for making her stepsister cry.

Sarah runs into hers and Regan's bedroom and after retrieving her mother's picture, she lies on the floor, sobbing her heart out. It was then she noticed a paper and pen under the bed. She was about to bring these out when Regan's sisters came in and consoled her.

Sarah wants to run away from Regan at the same time she believes that she can change him eventually. By now she has fallen in love with him and is willing to do everything in her power to change him.

Shortly after, Sarah remembers the note she saw under the bed and goes back to investigate. She managed to pick it up and was about to read it when she heard Regan footsteps. In shock, Sarah hastily stuffed the paper into her Pocket and ran out into the living room.

While they were having dinner, Sarah wasn't in the table Regan ask the maid to call her, Sarah was called and she sit in front of Regan, while trying to pick a plate to dish out her food, Regan speak up I have announcement to make, everyone turn and was ready to hear the announcement.

I will be bringing my new wife to the house since Sarah here has decided to kill all my unborn children, she is not ready to be a mother.

Sarah was shocked and her hands were shaking. She dropped the plate and it broke. She stood up and rushed to her room, while one of her sister in-laws followed her.

The next day Regan called out to all his family members to come and welcome his new wife.

Sarah steps out from her room, walks down to the parlor only to find out that the new wife is her step sister Joyce.

After Regan introduce her to the family and Joyce told everyone that she has a surprise for them, that she is pregnant with a son and Lady Orlena Carano was happy, she put a smile on her face, Lady Orlena order the maid to take her to the master bedroom, same room with Regan, Sarah was sad seeing that Joyce never wish her well.

The next day Joyce wakes up from her room and asks Sarah to come and wash her hair. Sarah asks her to call the maid that she is the first wife and her senior wife, Joyce, was upset and plans to kick her out of the house by all means.

Joyce told Regan that she is scared for her life because Sarah may decide to bewitch her baby the way she did to her own. I don't want her to kill my baby, you heirs you have to do something about it.

Regan decides to kick Sarah out of his house no matter how hard she pleads.

On a rainy night Regan was feel with anger, he kick Sarah out of his house, his sister were pleading with him to give her a chance but he didn't give listing ears to them, he throws her luggage inside the rain and drag her from the parlor to the rain, Sarah cried and was soaked in the rain, Sarah leaves Regan's house in tears but refused to return to her father's house.

Because they sold her out.

Sarah walked inside the rain and was crying. She then saw a taxi and they refused to stop because she was soaked in the rain and they didn't want their taxi to be wet with water. Sarah saw a nearby police station, so she decided to stay there till the rain subsided.

She opens her lugged and removes dry cloth and asks for the rest room to change.

The next day Sarah hatters the little money she saved and travels to another town.

She started her life over again, one day

Sarah remembers the note she took beneath the bed and decides to go through it. Sarah discovers that it's a page torn out from Regan's journal reading;

March 15th

I've been thinking a lot about Sarah. She's getting too close, asking too many questions. Joyce is right, she's a threat. I'll make sure she never finds out.

And then there's the other thing... what happened to her mom. I remember that day clearly. She was going to expose me, tell everyone about what I did. But dad and mom took care of it. They said she was unstable, they sent Hitman to kill her just to shut her up from exposing me. But I know the truth. I know what I did.

I keep an eye on Sarah, making sure she doesn't dig up the past. I agree. We can't let her ruin everything.

Sarah finally discovers the truth about her mother's death and even though she's pained and wants revenge, bids her time and finally takes her revenge.
