Something was happening with my legs. I knew instantly that something was wrong. As soon as I woke up the day before the gala, where Dominic was dreaming of me walking in on his arm, I couldn’t feel my legs again.??
Then I realized that even my eyes hurt from the bright morning sunlight coming through the window. It was so intense I had to close my eyes. Maybe even try walking up to the window and closing the curtain.
How hard could that be? Dominic was not here to help, but I believed I could handle it.
