Aliya's aunt Zainab stood firm, refusing to let Saleh into the hut. "You cannot just barge in here and demand to see Aliya," Zainab said, her voice firm. "She is under my protection now." Saleh's face turned red with rage, and he stormed off, threatening to report Zainab to the village head. Aliya watched him go, feeling a mix of emotions. She was relieved that Saleh was gone, but she knew this was not over. Sure enough, Saleh returned with Aliya's parents, who were furious. "You have no right to keep Aliya from us," her father shouted. "She is our daughter, and she will do as we say." Zainab stood her ground, but Aliya could see the fear in her eyes. "I am just trying to protect Aliya," Zainab said. "She does not want to marry Alhaji Ilu." However, Aliya's parents were unmoved. "You are just interfering in our business," her mother spat. "We will report you to the village head for kidnapping." Zainab knew she could not win against Aliya's parents. She had no choice but to hand Aliya over to them. As Aliya was dragged away, she looked back at Zainab, who was watching her with tears in her eyes. "Do not worry, Aliya," Zainab called out. "I will find a way to get you out of this. Just be strong." Aliya nodded, feeling a sense of determination wash over her. She knew she had to keep fighting, no matter what. As she was dragged back to her parents' house, Aliya felt a sense of despair wash over her. She was trapped, with no escape. Her parents were furious, and they took out their anger on Aliya. They shouted at her, slapped her, and told her she was a disobedient daughter. Aliya took the abuse, but she refused to back down. She knew she had to keep fighting, no matter what. As the night wore on, Aliya's parents finally calmed down. They told her she would be marrying Alhaji Ilu in a week's time, and that she had better be ready. As she lay in bed that night, Aliya felt a sense of despair wash over her. She was trapped, with no escape. However, she refused to give up. She knew she had to keep fighting, no matter what. And so, Aliya made a decision. She would escape, no matter what it took. She would find a way to follow her dreams, to become the person she was meant to be. For now, she had to be careful. She had to pretend to go along with her parents' plans, all while secretly plotting her escape. It was a dangerous game, but Aliya was determined to play it. She was determined to take control of her own destiny, no matter the cost. As she drifted off to sleep, Aliya felt a sense of resolve wash over her. She knew she had a long and difficult road ahead of her, but she was ready. She was ready to fight for her freedom, for her education, and for her dreams. She was ready to take on the world, no matter what it threw her way. However, Aliya's parents had one final trick up their sleeve. They had invited Alhaji Ilu to come to their house the next day, to finalize the wedding plans. Aliya's heart sank as she heard the news. She knew she had to escape, and she had to do it now. But how? She was trapped, with no way out. As the next day dawned, Aliya's anxiety grew. She knew Alhaji Ilu would be arriving soon, and she had to be ready. She put on a brave face, pretending to be excited about the upcoming wedding. However, inside, she was seething with anger and frustration. Why did her parents have to be so cruel? Why did they have to force her into a marriage she did not want? As she went about her chores, Aliya's mind was racing. She was thinking of ways to escape, of ways to get out of the village and start a new life. However, every time she thought she had a plan, she realized it was impossible.
