Chapter 23 I looked longingly back down the hill towards the forest. The trees that had been so darkly ominous moments before were looking like a haven of safety to me now. They also looked about a million miles away. And the ground between where Thorbjorn and I sat and the tree line was getting pounded by rock after rock. We couldn't go back.
