Elara’s POV “I had to rush down here. You sounded like you were dying over the phone,” I said to Kael after setting my eyes on him. I knew I was supposed to acknowledge his presence first before saying anything. “I’m fine, as you can see,” he responded. That was an Alpha response from him. He could have simply said he was fine, but he didn’t. I could see he was fine, he had a bottle of wine on the table in front of him and a wine glass also.
