Gideon’s POV
Brian had been calling me, but I was unable to pick up because I was on duty. If he doesn’t have something important to tell me, he wouldn’t be calling. I wanted Alpha Kael to let me go as soon as possible.
“I’ve looked into the opponent like you said and from what I know, he’s not someone we should be worried about,” I told him even though he didn’t ask me to start speaking.
We both retired to the penthouse after we got back some hours ago, and since then, he hasn’t said a word to me. He had his attention on his laptop and nothing else. All I had been doing was watching over him.
Elara was here with us also. She needed to draft some documents and it was quite urgent. It was past 10pm already and Alpha Kael ought to have retired to bed. He had a long day.
