If Alpha Kael hadn’t summoned me urgently, I wouldn’t have left my daughter unattended. I wasn’t saying Alpha Kael shouldn’t have summoned me urgently as he did some hours ago.
I wished I could turn back the hands of time, it was unfortunate that it wasn’t possible, or I would have stayed by Nia’s side and not let her out of my sight, not even for one or two seconds.
“You have to be calm.”
“Don’t patronize me,” I replied to Jaxon immediately. How could I possibly be calm in a situation like this?
I couldn’t stop pacing every corner of the hospital’s reception. The Doctors were taking forever to show up and I couldn’t go see them because they were in the emergency ward with Nia. It was out of bounds to me.
