“My sister was here with me before you came; the perfume is hers,” he mentioned, and then he burst into hysterical laughter.
I didn’t find his words funny, so I only stared at him. He said he wanted to confess, and then he went ahead to say that his sister was in our room. Abruptly, he stopped laughing, and I appreciated that.
“I got you; I was only trying to pull your leg.”
I was delusional to think that he was actually ready to confess what went down in the room while I was away. He made this awkward between us with his laughter. I shouldn’t have engaged him in a conversation in the first place.
