Jaxon’s POV
He didn’t summon me because he had good plans for me. I realized after he finished speaking. He summoned me for a random reason. I ought to have waited till tomorrow before coming.
I was no longer excited, there was nothing to be excited about. I came here thinking I would leave with my shoulders raised. He signaled to a guard to come over and then he whispered into his ear.
“I’ll do as you’ve said,” I cooed after the guard left. I didn’t want it to be obvious that I was disappointed so I pretended as though I was okay.
“If you have no questions in the course of it, you can always reach out to me,” he responded.
