I couldn’t take my fingers off the diamond necklace that Kael gave to me and also wore for me. Could it be that I was able to know that the gift was a diamond necklace because I have his mark and we were somehow connected now?
This was the first time I was getting an expensive gift in a very long time. I did wonder why he got me an expensive gift, but I couldn’t figure out why. Was he trying to compensate me for my time over the months?
