ELARA’S POV
It didn’t feel good to be back in Jaxon’s house, but I had to be here. Spending the night with the Alpha King wasn’t something new anymore. It had happened for more than three nights, and the highlight had to be that it happened consecutively.
I stepped in and found Jaxon in the dining area. He was with his mother and sister. The moment they noticed me, they all went quiet while their gazes were fixated on me. It had been a while since we ate together. I used to get up early and cook for them. But I never received a thank you. They took all my efforts for granted. Actually, they always complained about the dishes.
After I was sent to Kael, I always came back after midnight. So I stopped taking care of their breakfast anymore. I guessed Jaxon had made excuses for me.
