Elara’s POV
“Where are you off to?” Jaxon demanded just as I was about to step into the compound.
“Don’t you think you’re doing too much?”
That was my response for him and then I walked out on him. Where I go or who I decide to see isn’t his business and I think he forgot that for a moment, or maybe he had no idea. I might have to lecture him about it.
“Hi Elara,” Gideon mentioned after I got to where he was. Habitually, he stood right in front of Alpha Kael’s mansion, that was his duty post.
I wasn’t so excited to speak to him even though I knew how things turned out at the club yesterday wasn’t his fault. I expected him and his informant to have done a better job though.
