Kael’s POV
“I’m not sure I can do this,” I told my wolf.
“You really want to talk about it?” He inquired.
“Yes.”
He wanted me to pretend as though Gideon said nothing to me. I was dying to talk to Elara about it but he said it wasn’t a good idea. I wasn’t sure I would be able to not say something about it to her.
All these while, she made it look like she was in love with her husband and would do anything for him. Gideon made me realize she asked him to punish Jaxon. I didn’t bother to ask what the punishment was about though.
Gideon also told me about all that Jaxon had been doing to her. From the day they got married, I found out he hasn’t been the best husband to her.
Why did she hide all of that from me? Did she think I wouldn’t have given her listening ears?
