Kael’s POV
I called her here today for one another reason, and instead of forcing her to confess to me, it would be best if I go straight to the other reason I summoned her. I shouldn’t pressure her into confessing to me.
She still wasn’t smiling. She wasn’t the same way she used to be around me. Hearing that her stepsister was behind what happened might have put her in a bad mood, or she might be in a bad mood for another reason.
“Is it fine if I assign you a task?”
“What is the task about?” She inquired.
“It’s quite complicated, but I trust that you can handle it.”
I didn’t lie to her that the task wasn’t complicated, there was no need to. I could have assigned the task to someone else, but I couldn’t be sure they would do a good job, and also keep their mouth shut.
