“Could this be what Jaxon’s mother was up to?” I asked myself.
My eyes were on Seraphina and my stepsister. They were the last people I expected to see at the restaurant. Did Jaxon’s mother suggest that I come here because she knew they would be present?
After she ran into the compound in the mansion, I went after her, but I couldn’t find her. It was just as if she had disappeared into thin air after she stepped into the compound. I didn’t want to keep my daughter waiting, so I just left.
