Kael’s POV
Things were going as planned, which was something to be excited about and worth celebrating. Elara had been doing a good job. I just knew she was the perfect candidate for the task.
In five days from now, she ought to be done with everything concerning the task. I didn’t see it happening this soon, but Elara did. She made many preparations, and it helped her when she got here.
“Come in,” I said after she knocked on the door of my room. I knew it was her because I sent for her.
“You sent for me,” she mentioned after setting her eyes on me. She didn’t bother to come close to me and that was worrisome.
