CHAPTER 8
The alarm went off at 5:00 a.m., providing an extra hour of precious sleep. Speaking for us both, I think we needed it.
He followed much of the same procedure as the previous morning, only this time, instead of driving to Amy's to run, he took us to the Country Club Plaza. Also different, he took along a water bottle, which he placed in the fanny pack. As he drove, Host frequently checked the rearview mirror.
We parked at The Fontaine Hotel. He popped open the center console and removed a headband with a light attached, which he put on along with the reflective armbands and flicked on the light. I guess since we were not surveilling anyone, safety became more of a priority.
