The spring and summer flew by. Linda got bigger and bigger. At first, I visited once every three weeks, but gradually the frequency increased.
Eventually, Linda invited Susie to come along. To my delight, they got along fantastically. So good, they became besties by the time the baby came. Seems they loved to trade stories to my detriment.
The pregnancy put a big damper in Linda’s social life, so I didn’t have to worry about how I would react to a new boyfriend, although I knew that time would eventually come. And I wanted it to come. Linda deserved to be happy. Yet, I knew it would be painful for me in the beginning even though I was secure in our relationship and knew she would not do anything that would keep me out of our kids’ lives.
