Only then did Amanda run toward the vicious dogs.
Behind Mark, a masked man silently approached him.
Mark, focused on his mother and unaware of the danger, didn’t notice.
Amanda grabbed a mop and swung it at the dogs, driving them back. She shouted to the servants, “Get inside, now!”
The male servant gave her a deep, guilty look, then quickly turned with the other two and ran toward the kitchen.
Once Amanda saw the servants were safe, she immediately turned to run back.
But as she turned, her pupils contracted sharply, and a deep fear gripped her entire body—Mark was gone.
She froze, eyes scanning frantically, and then saw the two dogs sprinting toward the main gate.
